Based on my review, there wasn’t anything I disliked about Lavina Hotel. The food was a little cold and the bar was a bit expensive. The saunas were small and one of them was under maintenance, but it didn't bother us as most of the guests were skiing. The pool could have been warmer, but it wasn't a problem either.

The hotel was so kind to give us an upgrade. Our room was large and tidy, very clean. Great shower and nice amenities. Location is amazing, almost on the top of the mountain and people would skii on the lanes around it, we could see from our bedroom window. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with many different options. The evening event was also very nice to attend, with live music and good environment. Staff was very kind and considerate.

The rental service is terrible. I would avoid it in a wide, wide circle, if possible. A guy renting equipment can't answer nor understand basic ski-related questions. They imply that everyone renting must be an absolute beginner. He even laughed in my face openly on some inquiries, which is simply unprofessional! Almost everyone on the staff was rather negative and under stress on the days of my stay. I found a single staff member who was happy to be there - Magdalena, and I thank her for the excellent service. She is the sole reason this is an eight, not a five mark.

The position is perfect, ski-in-out. Breakfast is decent. The rooms are clean and tidy.

Food was great, lots of choices for breakfast as well for dinner and good quality. Stuff was helpful. After skiing it feels great to relax in the wellness center with sauna and the pool. Beds were cosy. We had a nice discount when we booked a room but the full price seems too expensive.

Communication with hotel didnt go as planned. We called customer service from booking.com to add meals since we booked in error without them, but Hotel never responded to booking.com request so we couldnt use Genius discount. Eventhough Hotel assured us that they confirmed their request, we received an email that they did not.

Dinner included in the half board was pretty terrible with a lot of frozen items and the restaurant staff aren’t particularly friendly nor interested in doing their job. The pool water is too cold. The hot water in the showers both in the room and spa goes cold very quick. The carpet in the room needs to go or at least a very very deep cleaning. The common areas you feel it’s 2020 design, the bedrooms you travel back in time to 1985. I would have been very disappointed if I had booked and paid the suite.

The younger lady at check-in was the star of the experience very welcoming. Location was gorgeous though Jahorina is dead this time of the year but nature can still be enjoyed, received free upgrade to suite, breakfast was good. Nice sauna and Turkish bath. Beautifully perfumed bed sheets.

Fine, considering it was out of season, I think it’s overpriced as except the pool there is nothing else to mention. Also, as I said it’s out of season, they didn’t had guests at all, but when I asked them for iron it’s not allowed. You have to pay extra for one T-shirt to be ironed. Breakfast is not in the price and they charge same price for adults and kids. I don’t think its fair as the breakfast was pretty poor and basic for that price. kid was 5 years old. We got much better time and offer in Termag few weeks before.

Property, facilities in property, Internet connection..

So I'm still in between rating this property pleasant (6) or good (7). The property didn't meet my expectations. Internet system is really bad, every room has its own internet system but it doesn't work if the TV in not on, and even then the connection is so poor. I could't stay online for more than one hour, it would always disconnect. TV programs are not working, I couldn't watch the TV on Saturday nigh... The tap in the shower is slow, the hairdryer is shutting down every 5 minutes, there is no hair conditioner in the rooms, doorknob of the toilet is falling out. Those are all little things which can be fixed in the minute, and I expect those things to work out in the 4 stars hotel. The only reason why I would give a good rate is staff. Receptionist was really understandable about our complaint and she gave us refund for massages as act of an apology. Staff is really nice and pleasant. The breakfast and dinner (half board) exceeded my expectations.
