How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The wifi is quite bad in my room, others are fine. You need to walk uphill to the hostel, for me it is fine since I like hiking
Nice location, can see the city view, even has a garden. The hosts are nice persons. Deserved for your money.

It is up a massive steep hill. Not really an issue as it’s close to the city still but just to keep in mind
Beautiful location over looking the whole city. Really cute house with a lovely owner, who made us feel at home. Very clean. Good kitchen space. We would highly recommend.

My favorite stay in the whole country! Everything was perfect, I loved the owner, she is amazing, her son is also very helpful! Gorgeous view, amazing outdoor area, hot shower, kitchen, lockers!!!! Highly recommend!

The location even tho it look centric it's extremely tiring to get into since is in a top of a hill

It was strange for me to not be able to lick my room, but I felt safe after the first night
The staff was very friendly and let me into my room even before check-in time since my bus came earlier that planned.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostel Bobito in Sarajevo. The place was clean, cozy, and peaceful — a perfect spot to relax after exploring the city. The hosts were friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. When someone canceled, they kindly helped me stay for an extra night, which I really appreciated. I loved spending time in their lovely garden with great views of Sarajevo. The shared kitchen was convenient, and the dorm rooms were comfortable. I’m actually coming back in a couple of days because I loved it so much! Overall, Hostel Bobito felt like a calm and comfortable home away from home at a great price.

The place is located super close to the old town, but you have to walk uphill to reach it. When you are full of luggage it may be a bit complicated.
The view from the backyard, the sensation that you are not in a hostel but at home. You have lockers in the room what is super important.

Everything was great, the owner that works around the clock to make this hostel clean all the time, the location which is close to the center, but quiet enough which you can't have in the city center, the garden where you can take a rest, well equipped kitchen, two toilets and showers which are spotless...

It's a very steep climb from the old town. Only 10-15:minutes away but not exactly 'central'.Not much headroom in bottom bunks
Small, family run hostel where you're really made to feel welcome. My bus from Zagreb was delayed by 90 minutes and I was going to be too late for check-in. I messaged and got a quick reply that someone would wait until I arrived Providing a towel was a nice touch. .dorm was spacious, neighbourhood quest, all hostel was super clean. Definitely not a party hostel, rather a great place to chill and relax

The bottom bed on all the bunk beds was too low. I banged my head on the upper bed a few times when I was moving around in the bed. But it's no big deal and didn't take anything away from my experience in the hostel.
I really enjoyed my stay here.

The location is on the hill No problem on normal days but I was there on snowy day... Which made me to ride taxi to go downtown

Such a great place to stay. The hosts are wonderful, so friendly. Feels like home. The hostel itself is very nice. The beds are comfortable and the room is warm. Bathroom is clean. Kitchen is great, everything needed. And the common area is very nice, also to talk with other guests. Location is great, only a few minutes walk from the main attractions in the city.

The given location did not have anyone there to answer. The hostel is actually an adjacent building and I had to wait for a while in the cold
