United KingdomWe both found the bath/shower difficult to get in and out of. If you are under 1.70m or have mobility issues, we recommend you ask for a room with a walk-in shower.
We very much enjoyed our three nights here. Our third floor room was excellent. It had a lounge area with a comfortable settee and armchair and a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. There was AC in both rooms, which worked very well, and the WiFi worked perfectly for us. All of the staff were wonderful and couldn't do more for you. Sarkhan, in particular, spoke excellent English and was a great help to us, organising transfers from Qabala Airport at the start, and also to the Georgian border at the end, both for reasonable prices. The location is in a quiet area, about 10 minutes walk from the main square. The Fortress and the Sheki Khan's Palace is a 45 minute uphill walk, but taxis there are inexpensive - ours only cost 1.50 Manat. The breakfast was nice and varied, and the two evening meals we had were both really tasty. We also enjoyed the lovely, outside garden area.

CanadaWould suggest breakfast has more selection of fresh fruit and also plain yogurt in addition to the fruit mix yogurt available. Overall it’s still more than sufficient. There is regular filter coffee but would also suggest a coffee machine that can make an espresso or latte for those used to strong coffee and not tea in the mornings.
Macara Sheki Hotel is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff. Our room was comfortable with a nice view of the property. Rooms are as pictured. Bed is a bit firm but still comfortable, with nice linens and pillows. We slept well. The air conditioning worked very well and the wifi was fantastic. The rooms around us appeared to be booked and a large tour group checked in above us but we did not experience any loud noises. The bathroom is very nice. Nice tiling, nice lighting, fresh towels and most important the water pressure and hot water in the shower were great. Breakfast was definitely sufficient. Omelettes can be made to order. Food always seemed to be replenished. We enjoyed a lunch, a dinner and some drinks on the property outdoors. The restaurant staff are very attentive, professional, courteous and always smiling. Our food was delicious and affordably priced. The indoor dining space is nice. The outdoor dining area is a really nice space. It is nice even just to sit and listen to the birds in the morning. The staff at the front desk are friendly and courteous. Any questions or requests were not a problem for example, help with bus information or calling a taxi. It will take about 10min to walk to the centre of the new town and about a 30min walk to the attractions in the old town. Be sure to walk around the town some, off the regular tourist path, to see more of the local life. You just might find you are greeted by locals or find a little hidden bakery.

AustraliaThe beds, even though they have been replaced by more comfortable ones are still too hard for my "boney" back but was easily fixed by lying on 2 doonas instead of the usual one......which seemed to do the trick! :)
The hotel is new and beautifully presented and located in a quiet part of Sheki, unfortunately not walking distance to the old town. The rooms are spacious with all you need, the wifi, exceptional by Sheki standards and the shower excellent. The customer service from Sarkhan, even before we made our booking was exceptional....thank you for all your help & advice. Parvana on the front desk was excellent too but some of the staff need to improve their English, or perhaps rather we should improve our Azerbaijani! The breakfast was quite good with something for every taste but not as good as many we had in Baku.

The rooms are very clean, with small balconies overlooking the mountains, perfect for an everyday meditation to roundup a busy day. The staff of the hotel are super friendly and the breakfast is delicious.

Excellent hotel, very neat and clean. The room was very comfortable and complete (kettle with tea and coffee, fridge, safebox, hairdryer, TV, robes and slippers). Very clean bathroom with great shower (shampoo + shower gel). The breakfast was tasty and complete (enough for us). Friendly staff and excellent Wi-Fi connection
