Ilgar and his wife were wonderful hosts and we're glad we chose to stay at their place. It was ideal for our overnight stay in Sheki's old town. The accommodation is simple but clean and comfortable. If we had stayed longer we would have enjoyed sitting in the peaceful garden. Ilgar spoke excellent English and helped us with our onward journey to Georgia by train.

They speak English and have a lot of experience in tourism. As they didn't have a lot of guests when I stayed there, I got a huge room with private bathroom The bed was comfortable, everything clean. The breakfast was super, eggs, homemade jam, vegetables, bread.

- Heater is small for the size of the room, but Ilgar said that we will change the system soon - Shower in the middle of the shower, making all bathroom wet, but it’s an Azerbaijani standard. Ilgar said he will renovate the bathroom.

The share bathroom is quite cold.

A simple house with basic facilities, but is super clean and otderly. The hosts are very helpful. The lady always keep kitchen in order. Ilgar helped us with luggage, gave information and advices what to see and how to go. We love our stay there.

Ilqar and his family were wonderfully friendly. We had numerous chats, especially about the history of the area. They were also able to prepare a tasty vegan breakfast of fresh bread, homemade jams, fried seasonal veggies, and a pot of tea, which we ate in the lovely garden. The room has two large windows with mosquito nets (vital in Sheki!).

The place is clean, comfortable and nicely located – around 5 minutes walk from the Caravanserai. Ilgar, the host, is a very helpful, talkative and friendly person, one of the best hosts I ever met 😊 He speaks good English and has good knowledge about Seki – both practical (buses, marshrutkas, etc) and historical (about the area's history, palace, ...).

My stay at Ilgar's hostel was just amazing. They welcomed me in a really warm way. Spent some evenings talking, sharing experiences and drinking tea. Ilgar is always ready to give you all the informations that you need. The room was cozy and clean. The bathroom has warm water.

The host, Ilgar and his family are the best. Very kind and willing to help you as much as they can and above. It was a nice homestay experience to get to know more about the local culture. It’s basic and clean. In the garden are some chickens, cats and fruit trees. The location is close to all the highlights.

Ilgar's place is outstanding! He is one of the kindest host I have ever met. Ilgar speaks excellent English and would reach you even before your trip starts. Ilgar knew the local bus driver who picked us up from Shamakhi to Sheki, and later drove us directly to Ilgar's place with a small fee (5 Manat). He also led us to the currency exchange desk in the local Bassar where they gave us an excellent rate of 170 Manat with 100 USD. Amazing! The place is on the hill a little bit, and is within walking distance to bus stops and all attractions. The room is spacious, clean, and shower water warm enough. I would definately recommend staying with Ilgar's hostel for two or three nights and enjoy this beautiful city.

Ilgar's is a great place to stay. It is close to the karavansary & the old city sites. Ilgar & his wife are really lovely people who go out of their way to welcome & help guests, we were immediately made to feel part of the family. Location is good if you want to stay near the castle, but there is little choice for restaurants/shops, etc,so if you want to hang out with people around you,a more central place will be better. And the hostel is not easy to find.

Comfortable, nice room with home feeling. Good heating in cold weather, clean and quiet. Running, drinkable water in the garden, from a well or spring.
