How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Beds were bit uncomfortable.. Plus only one bathroom for many travelers
Only hostel where I found quality traveller.to share travel stories.. Otherwise all hostels were mostly empty maybe off season

Photos are old and the hostel is a little run down. There's only one bathroom/shower/toilet in one room, so be prepared to line up morning & night. The mattresses have seen their day and the bunk beds move as people move in their sleep or getting up to top bunk.
The host is amazing! He sent me all the information and options of getting from Baku to Sheki and when I arrive he sent lots of links via WhatsApp on sites to see, supermarkets, restaurants etc etc He organised a taxi to the Georgia border, it was so easy and stress free. The hostel is close to all tourist sites, all walkable, kitchen is well equipped, drinkable water from kitchen tap, linen is fresh & clean but a little 'used' but for the money, you can't complain.

Curtains on the window in the room would be nice to protect from the light if somebody switches it on at night.

The immediate area outside the hostel feels a little sketchy.
Asim, the host, was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. The place itself was very clean and comfortable, and we felt extremely relaxed. The price was amazing for the place, all things considered. I would love to come back and stay here again.

It was nice.
Assim is so helpful! He guided me before arriving, giving me all the informations. He welcomed me kindly, always made sure i was safe and comfortable. The hostel is in a calm area near a good restaurant.

Everything was amazing. Staying with Asim truly felt like a home away from home. We loved having access to the kitchen so we could cook and the shower was one of the best we’ve come across in our travels - hot with amazing pressure. We will definitely stay again if we return to Sheki! 🙌🏼

The bed was comfy and the place was always warm. Bathroom was clean and stocked up with paper all the time. The kitchen is big and has all the necessary stuff. Free drinking water. The host and his family are sweet and attentive. He also speaks English. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the main sites and about 20mins to the bus station. Definitely recommended!!

More personal information about restaurants rather than just a list- many places in the list didn’t have wine tasting

The owner of the guesthouse is extremely nice and enthusiastic, clean, has a place to cook, do laundry comfortably, very chill. Close to the center. 10/10. Stay here, this is the best choice in Sheki. (Thank you so much for your kindness, I wish you the best in life :)

What's not to love. Shut up & do the Happy Face
Asim & his wee family are lovely. The location fine & central & also quiet, tucked away yet at night still easy to find your way home & safe. Although at present there only is one toilet with shower to share by the dorms. This can be an inconvenient pain, especially when you need to catch a bus or something. Yet rest assured, Asim is doing some great renovations. Come December or so there will be more easy facilities. Showers, even a games room downstairs, more decorated with plants atmospheric courtyard, better reception area. Upstairs still quiet for sleeping. It's quite a big project & costs him money, yet will be beneficial for all of us. Asim's hostel already attracts international travellers, a woderful place to meet people. I'm Scottish. There were USA, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Bangladeshis when I was there. A great melting pot of cosmopolitan civilizations. And Asim will help with your onwards transportation. And Asim & his family tug these gentle cords together. Please come & be kind together.

The kitchen was very big but it was hot in the afternoon and there was not a microwave which I wish to be~
Good value for the money. The host is very knowledgeable so that he can answer all the questions I have in a very clear way. The kitchen was very spacious and he let us do our laundry with only 1 manat!
