How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location in the city center, clean property, nice hostel for those looking for an affordable single room in a hostel. The rooms are tiny but quiet and cozy. The hosts are polite and helpful.
There is no fan in the rooms and when the weather is hot during peak summer, the rooms get very hot and stuffy during the day. However, they switch on the AC in the common room at night and keeping the room door open makes it better.

Verified reviewDescription: the location is great, two minutes to the bus station to the airport (see schedule photo). One minute more to the nearest tube station. The host is fantastic, providing all the toiletries, even more than four-star hotels, the bed clothes, towels are white indeed! In addition there are complementary expensive instant coffee, tea, sugar, drinking water, even milk. The design of common areas and rooms is very nice. I had the impression that it's not a hostel, but a high quality hotel. Thank you very much, Rashad ( the host). It was a real pleasure to stay at the hostel, where my feeling was that you sincerely love your guests. I will definitely come again.

Verified reviewI chose here because it was close to the airport shuttle point. It had window and a shared toilet, but I didn't use it. The room had clean bedding and bathroom supplies. There were amenities such as water and coffee in the common area. The staff was kind.
The walls were very thin. The sounds from the next room seemed to be in my room. You could also feel someone walking down the hallway. I would have felt safer if it wasn't in a yard like a parking lot. You can enter from the "Drogal Ave".

Verified reviewThe price was perfect. The staff was very very supportive and excellent. I believe the best thing about this hostel is its staff. The bathroom and the toilet are shared, and the same for men and women. There is a hairdryer and an iron, which I used both. There is always tea and boiled water in the lobby that you can use whenever you want. The 24-hour tea and coffee availability was good. The breakfast was rich. It was very clean. There are also some board games in the lobby that you can play, and they were great for me.
Maybe sharing one bathroom and toilet for men and women bothers females. For me, it was ok and clean.

Verified reviewCheap and simple place in center of Baku. Don't expect something special for such a price - you get what you're paying for. But overall - it's worth it. The host was very attentive and helpful. Especially the breakfast was over the expectations :) Recommended for layovers and limited budget travels!
The only bathroom (on the second floor) lacks ventilation and the sound proofing could be better. Especially when neighbours think that they're alone. There also could be mosquito nets on the window - you'll be a prey if you'll leave the window open overnight :)

Verified reviewI second all other reviews, this place is very good, thanks to how much care the owner/worker I met puts in his job. Everything works as it should and they are really happy to help you with whatever they can. The price is also very good. This is not exactly a hostel. There are no shared rooms, they provide everything a hotel does like towels, toiletries, free coffee and tea etc. Only the price is closer to what a hostel charges.
Nothing

Verified reviewFANTASTIC! This place exceeded my expectations. It says it's a hostel but there are private rooms, for a good price. It's good value for money. The hostel is new and everything looks very good. The room was sparkling clean and so were the sheets, which is very important for me. Also, the bed was super comfortable, unlike in other hostels. Also, it's very close to the train station and airport bus stop. And the breakfast? Oh, wow! A wonderful, hearty meal. On top of that, the owner is a super friendly and helpful person, and genuinely cares about the guests and goes out of his way to give advice and help. One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Highly recommended.

Verified review* Reşat, the receptionist was very kind and helpful. He provided us with good suggestions to travel and eat in Baku. Check-in and check-out procedures were also easy. * Besides towels, shampoo, shower gel, and even sleepers, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided in the hostel. I have firstly seen that sleepers, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided in the hostel. And the quality of these amenities are like the hotel amenities. * The breakfast was very good. And it is not time dependent. Also, you can have your tea, coffee, and water whenever you want in the common area. * Despite having problems to find the hotel firstly, the location was good, it is very close to 28 May metro station, which is a good transfer statin both for metro, bus and airport bus.
* In the bathroom, at least a curtain could be needed for separating bath area and WC. * It was a little bit hard to find the hostel firstly, maybe some baffle plates could be placed in the street.

Verified reviewA very pleasant place! The hostel is small and cozy, with a homely atmosphere — it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very clean and tidy, with excellent Wi-Fi. The staff is especially worth mentioning: the man who runs the hostel is extremely kind and attentive. I had a very late check-in, but there were no issues at all — he welcomed me without any problem and even offered to let me stay until the evening on the day of check-out. The breakfast was generous and tasty. The location is perfect — just steps away from the airport bus stop. Highly recommended!
