Location and comfortable every thing we needed

I thought one towel per person for a week was not enough especially you weren’t allowed to wash

Great location. Spacious apartment. Well furnished.

Looks over the back packers which gets a bit rowdy. Pool was in full sun all day and very little shade so hard to actually use it.

Property is in a great location and the room was great and host was easy to deal with. It was temperature in the building which was my issue. The host has no control over the building temperature however room owners should be able to put pressure on building management to increase the temperature and allow occupants of individual rooms to apply AC as required in their own room.

The temperature in the room on arrival was very cold. I assumed it was because the AC was on which I dutifully turned off. The temperature in the room remained far too cold for comfort. I left the balcony door open to allow the outside air in to try and modulate the temperature. Alas this did not assist. I needed to sleep with a T shirt and the blanket over the bed clothes. While sitting in the room I needed to wear a jumper. This is not how I envisaged a stay in a warm Darwin would be after arriving from cold Melbourne. On the last night I went to bed feeling coldie and on return to Melbourne I tested positive to COVID. I don't believe the cold room caused me to catch COVID however I'm sure it didn't help. The number of automated emails asking the same question on information I had already provided to the host was annoying.

Though the apartment is privately owned, it is located within the Mantra Esplanade Hotel building on The Esplanade, within walking distance to the CBD and the Waterfront. Parking, thought not guaranteed, was mostly available on-site or just outside on the street in a good neighbourhood. The Mantra pool was also available to us as guests. The apartment was excellent, with a kitchen and a laundry, complete with clothes dryer. Furnished with good taste, it was a pleasure to be there for five days. Some guests might be inconvenienced by music and noise from the nearby backpacker hostels, but we weren't bothered, especially with the door closed.

Intending guests should note that the apartment is not serviced, and rubbish bins must be emptied and contents removed at end of stay. I did not like the negative tone of some of the communications, or the far-too-numerous, repetitive emails from the apartment's bookjng agent prior to our stay.

It was a lovely well set unit in a great location but in need of a couple of things fixed

No exhaust fans in the bathroom and the Airconditioning was absolutely freezing, even when turned off was ridiculously cold. And no clean towels during a 7 day stay is not good and the music from the backpackers was a little annoying.

It was a great location and beautifully furnished, felt quite homely. Had everything we needed including laundry powder and nice quality body wash and shampoo/contitioner

There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it would take a while for steam and smells to dissipate. It was also a bit cold in the building but there were some nice throw rugs on the couch and bed which helped keep us warm.
