Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaI was surprised that there was no charge back facility for the Flinders Hotel where we ate. We were told by staff it had been withdrawn a few months prior. The share plate food in the bistro was delicious (king fish ceviche, hot padron peppers, fried chicken, charred bread and romesco dip) but the service was very poor. After being seated at our booked table we waited 25 minutes and our order had not been taken. People who came in 15 minutes after us had their order taken. Wait staff did not make eye contact, cleared tables, wiped tables, stood at the front desk sipping drink, all three went out to the kitchen together. When I went to the front desk to ask if we could order the staff member was on an ipad and said "Be with you soon mate". After a minute or so of standing there awkwardly I returned to our table. My partner glared at the staff member and he came across and took our order. So after half an hour our order was taken after the explanation that they were very busy which did not appear to be the case. Later we received an apology from the staff member and a small recompense. On our second night we ate in the sports bar with the same menu as the bistro, ordered via QR code and had our meal served within 15 minutes. Moral of the story "eat in the sports bar".
The reception staff were very warm, welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was very large and functional. The bed was very comfortable and we were able to use our streaming service on the tv.

Lots of space and the absence of catering and bars which were separated "annex" style in close proximity. Brilliant design planning for mature guests. Does one thing stand out (for seasoned travellers like us)? YES.....room equipment included a torch for twilight strolls etc. Exceptional.
