Lack of power outlets for charging within our huts, but we understood that it is possible to do so at particular points (only a particular plug was provided in our hut that didn't suit our devices) or shared areas.

Self contained huts with an adorable naming system. Loved the options of a beautiful creek to swim in, and hiking trails to explore. It was a very unique experience and we wish to come back!

Lack of horizontal surfaces, shelves etc in the accommodation, nowhere to place any items.

The ambiance and colour's of the sparkling waters. The lush rainforest environment. The relaxing and tranquil feel, casual nature of the staff, and fellow guests.

That we could only stay one night this visit. Wanted to stay longer.

Layout of the camp was brilliant. Plenty of some between huts for privacy. Very peaceful. Excellent camp kitchen.

The property was perfect, however the road along the coast has been severely damaged by the recent cyclone and it is still under repair.

We stayed in the cabins with an outdoor bathroom. Imagine having a hot bath in the rain! Unforgettable experience. We were lucky because it rained all night and most of the 2 days we were there - best time to see the rain forest! There were private walks through the rain forest on the property. We were lucky enough to see 2 cassowaries walking past our cabins, and there were Ulysses butterflies in the gardens. Easy drive to Cape Tribulation.

Noah Creek Eco Huts is located on a picturesque property in the Daintree Rainforest. The owner is very kind and helpful. It is a beautiful place to stay if you're wanting to disconnect, relax and reconnect with nature.

Nothing! We just loved that place… so special. But if you are looking for 5 starts accommodation don’t go there. This is truly a place for nature lovers.

Total immersion in the forrest! We loved the open lodge, the pit fire, great walks in the rainforest from our doorstep and amazing swimming holes totally private. For nature lovers, the best place to stay in Cape Tribulation! We saw plenty of cassowaries in the wild, birds and night nature sounds… amazing 🤩 Lynette was a fabulous host 👍

    Exceptional rainforest location
    • Leisure trip

    • The Ridge House
    • Stayed 2 nights

I booked this without much research and did not realise the following (not negatives but might have been better prepared!) - Ridge House is not in the main camp - it's a few km back up the road, up a steep track - ok for 2WD but might be a struggle with a small low clearance car - if want wifi or swim at the swimming hole need to drive back down the road - its completely off grid - which is amazing - but beware no phone reception or internet - but also no electricity other than lights and the fridge so we couldn't charge phones etc (would have brought a power bank for this) - its completely open to the elements so lots of wildlife (bugs, lizards etc) if this creeps you out -> its a house but the experience more akin to glamping

Stayed at Ridge House 2 nights with kids. It's a fabulous remote rainforest location with spectacular views down to the ocean. Just amazing. The house has no walls but mozzie nets over the beds. Also no phone or wifi so forced digital detox. Outdoor shower/bath surrounded by bush. Hammock and couches looking out from the deck. Kitchen equipped with basics. Plenty to do at the camp itself - particularly enjoyed swimming in the creek back at the main camp. Hosts super friendly. Honestly a place you could just come to chill out at and not leave.

    Nothing, it was brilliant!

The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, the huts are comfortable and everything you could need to enjoy a relaxing stay. The trails, however, absolutely made my trip! They were beautiful and I was keen to get out each day and walk them then come back and enjoy a dip in the water holes on the property. This means it’s up to you whether you even leave Noah’s or whether you just stay and relax and enjoy everything it has to offer! The nature viewing is amazing!

It wasn't obvious when I booked that the location was quite detached from the main camp ground and the access to the creek for swimming. A short drive and you are there though. The driveway is best accessed during daylight.

The hosts were lovely and the view was incredible - particularly from the shower! The kitchen facilities were very good, it has everything you could need.

The big attraction for us was access to the trails around the propety. Beyond the few main boardwalks, there aren't many accessible walking trails in the region, so it was great to walk the trails around Noah's Creek. The Mill Trail especially has some incredible old trees, with twisting roots and hanging vines. The swimming hole is also a bonus when the beaches are croc territory. While we were staying, other guests saw cassowaries on the property, but we kept missing them! (We did have success at the Madja boardwalk up the road.) Another excellent part of the property is the communal kitchen. Everything is so well organised, with separate bug-proof containers for each group's food. The kitchen is also well equipped with dishes, cutlery, knives, etc. There's just one stove and one BBQ so there can be a bit of a wait at dinner time, but just cook early or late if that's a concern. We stayed in an eco hut: very comfy and great value for money.

We thought the toilet, shower and bath was inside somehow, so it was a bit surprising at first. But we realized we can close the door for toilet. Having shower and bath outside during daylight was actually pleasing, just like the hot springs in Japan. Also we got lost on the first day mainly because we arrived after the sunset and it was so dark! We had to drive for 17h, but would definitely recommend to arrive at least before 5pm if possible.

Magnificent view. Great location. Considerate and kind owner! She took great care of us, really appreciated. We loved the bath, especially after the long day of hiking. The restaurants nearby were also amazing! The meals we had were absolute feast! And they were actually reasonable too.
