Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South KoreaIt took a long time to receive the requested items. (Towel replacement, etc.) The induction cooktop's heat is weak. It's hard to grill meat, probably intentionally set that way for safety reasons.
Very good location in central. The room was quiet and nice, warm. (we were XX03 room) The room is dry, so laundry dries well :) There was no toothpaste or toothbrush. Take yours.

AustraliaMINOR complaint - No taps in sink, kettle didn't work, bedroom TV turned on when the lounge room TV was switched on. However, for the price of the apartment per night, I believe all maintenance should be A1
The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The position of accommodation in CBD was extremely good. Close to public transport and shopping.

ThailandUnfortunately during our entire stay, one of two elevators was out of order. This made getting up and down our room quite time consuming, and added a level of difficulty for a large group of traveller like us.
We loved the option for dim-able lighting in the living room. It helped us a lot since we have young kids staying with us and needed to sleep early.

AustraliaThe only negatives we had was the water pressure in the shower was a little light and there was only one working lift instead of two. This wouldn’t have been a major issue if the other lift hadn’t gone out and we had to use the stairs for 23 levels.
The hotel was located in a good central location with public transport options close by. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times.

AustraliaOne lift was out of action when we checked in. Then the second lift broke down. We had to walk up the fire stairs to the 19th floor. There were many elderly people that were finding it difficult to navigate the fire stairs. It was unacceptable that one lift would be out of service but extremely dangerous that the second one would break down also.
Staff were very helpful and lovely. Breakfast was delicious and staff in the breakfast room were lovely

United StatesThe elevator sounded like it needed maintenance, and only one worked at the time. Pillows were not comfortable, though we did not spend much time in the room.
Location was great. We were able to walk to Circle Quay, Darling Harbour, the Opera House, Chinatown, and other attractions. The room was pleasant and had plenty of space for a family of three.

AustraliaI accidentally left my drivers licence and initial person we dealt with was hesitant to let us book in even after providing a photo of the licence which she requested. One Lift was out of order and took a long time to get up and down due to only one other lift. Also the other lift shuttered quite badly. Room swipe key initially wasn't working so had to get a manual key. Swipe key started working after opened and closed a couple of time so suspect a bad connection. There was a cot set up in the room and it wasn't asked for or required.
We had a top floor room which looked over the harbour which was really nice. Room was clean, tidy and spacious. Breakfast was also nice.

AustraliaThe hotel was excellent. The location is so convenient with a very easy walk to town or Darling Harbour and you are paying for a spacious apartment rather than a room with beds and a kettle. The staff were very friendly but still give you your privacy if preferred. The strong winds did make a high pitched noise against the glass one of the nights and one of the lifts was out of service but I will still definitely stay there again

CanadaBreakfast was too expensive so we did not try it and they could have had more amenities and more accessibility - front door was very hard to open.
Best location - literally minutes away from Darling Harbour which is an amazing area and not too far from CBD. Was great for our little family to stay at because it was apartment style and we were able to have a crib set up in the bedroom while my husband and I relaxed in the living room. The hotel also provided us with a high chair and some other stuff free of charge which was nice :)
