The room was nice and clean. There presence of only one shower/toilet has never been an issue (not sure if we have been lucky or if it works very well ;). Bbq was nice and the laundry machine works also with card (big plus for us). Thanks

We had a great stay in Dreamtime hostel! It was Exactly what we needed! A quite, beautiful, calm place to have a longterm stay as we work around Cairns. The rooms and all the common areas are always clean! The staff is great! Helpful and friendly! The vibe is so relaxing that is the place you want ro return after work. Next to Cairns central that you can find supermarket and any kind of stores. We highly recommend this place! 10/5 stars!

Really nice spot! I stayed in one of the private rooms and it was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The hostel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the esplanade, with a few restaurants and bars even closer. It was quiet and a nice spot to base myself for diving and exploring the Cairns area.

I could have used a writing desk , table or something like that in my room since there was no closet, but it was a pretty small room.

Paul and Tim were so helpful and so kind. My room was a small single room. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and I slept well. It was pretty quiet. The bathrooms and kitchens are well kept. There are several outdoor and covered sitting areas and a pool. Washers and Dryers! ($4 or $5 a load ea. Wash or dry) AC takes $1 coins but I did not need to use it. Very good at recycling and being environmentally aware. Close to grocery stores. About a mile walk to Reef Terminal and Marina. Easy to get to other places also. Definitely NOT a party hostel. Very quiet for polite people who need a safe place to stay. Fine for older singles who don't have mobility issues. I only slept there, took a couple showers, and did a load of laundry. It was all I needed.

Nothing specifically! If I was being picky, a choice of more ceramic plates and bows etc. would be better (some of the plastic ones retained the flavour of previous things that had been heated up in them)

Great place to stay in Cairns—clean, well-kept, and in a perfect location near the bus terminal. The facilities were great and had everything we needed. What really made the difference was Tim, the owner. He was super helpful and went above and beyond to help us out during a stressful time. We really appreciated his kindness. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting!

The spot was really nice. Easy to get in, easy to get out. We are next the big commercial center where we can easily take the mobile forfait and do the groceries. We met Tim and what a guy, always ready to help and to discuss. He has really nice stories if you have the chance to hear them, he’s the bonus of the spot clearly. Good vibes, good atmosphere, secure. Definitely recommend it for backpackers

Nothing- can be noisy at night if the cafe n cat door is having a party.

Clean accommodation. Very spacious room, 2 kitchens and plenty of individual shower rooms and toilets. Helpful staff.

One bathroom shower had a fair bit of mold in it, needed a good clean. Would have a liked a stronger lamp in my bedroom to read by.

Safe clean calm cozy atmosphere. Lots of great outdoor seating. Kitchen utilities were clean and great. cafeteria next door is fantastic. Tim the manager also was awesome. I left my phone in an Uber and he helped me out above and beyond. I was so grateful for that as it would have been really difficult without his help. A top notch guy.

Shower was cleaned daily but did have some black in the silicone as it was a bit aged.

The room was comfortable and quiet. It did not have a view and was on the dark side but it had a comfy bed and pillows and was all that I needed. The pool was a lovely bonus, staff were friendly.

Only two female dorms, all the rest are private rooms, so the vibe is really calm. There are very comfy lounges and two kitchens, the bathrooms are clean and the pool is a nice place to hang out. Totally recommend!

Older building so a bit of noise and the room was quite warm w fans going.

Felt like home. Truly a little bit of paradise in the tropics. Kitchens were clean and well stocked, room was spacious and plenty of places to relax around the place, with patios, decks and lounges.
