How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room smelt terrible couldn't get rid of the smell. Smelt old & like talcum powder. Bed was uncomfortable & pillows were flat & uncomfortable lucky I brought my own. Was hard to fill the kettle in bathroom sink with a low tap. Lots of mildew in shower

Coffee and milk was replenished each day, but not many of each.

The room we stayed in was large and comfortable. There was plenty of space for suitcases and a good sized table to comfortably enjoy a takeaway meal. The room was clean. Good shower with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable. Car parks are roomy and there is plenty of parking available. A good location; close to the Lyneham shops and value for money.

They could do a Reno on the bathrooms and our kettle looked like it was about to fall apart

Dated and basic provisions but everything was clean. Just a couple of things such as a bit more cutlery, a tea towel and box of tissues would have been great. One of the pillows was awful (kapok?)
It was a good location - close to light rail and shops with a good variety of places to eat. Electric blankets and reliable heat were appreciated for the cool nights in Canberra. Fridge, microwave etc meant we could save $ by getting supplies for breakfast. Budget friendly!

It was very dated (1980s) (but it was still clean and the facilities good)

The pillows were very flat and hard, the room had a cracked cistern, the shower was a bit hit and miss to get the temperature consistent, could do with some modernising and a fresh link of paint in the rooms. Noise/plumbing from other rooms could be heard.
The location was perfect to explore a bit of Canberra in a day. Staff were friendly, check in was easy and the laundry was useful. Tea, coffee and milk supplied and more could be got by asking at reception. Heaters worked well.

Nothing to mention - all was great and suited us and our visit well.
Double bed room was great for me and 2 kids. Plenty of room, comfy beds, heating, tables/chairs, TV, big fridge/freezer, coffee making facilities, great shower in private bathroom. Perfect stay after visiting to watch the Lions v Brumbies as very close to stadium as well. Cheers.

The internet! Pretty much non existent Tv , well I couldn’t work Security! No frills here, no toiletries, hairdryer etc so bring everything It’s a very very budget motel but not awful just old n tired. Could jazz it up quite easily actually
Affordability which was well suited for the two rooms we needed on a budget . Easy access to our room, pull right up and unpack. It was clean and warm, my heater broke and it was freezing in Canberra so staff were great to ensure I got another heater. Great location to all the tourist spots.
