Reviews of Austria Classic Hotel Wolfinger - Hauptplatz 3 stars

Fantastic location, spacious room, air conditioning with friendly and helpful staff. The Hauptplatz square is the prime location in the super little city that is Linz.

The building is historic which adds to its charm. The is no lift to the first floor but a lift to all other floors - it’s a minor challenge.

Nicely located in the middle of town. Rooms were nice and clean, and the breakfast room was pleasant.

A bit difficult to reach, and the overall smell wasn’t really to my taste.

The bed was extremely comfortable & the location was perfect

The location is perfect. Regarding the parking: if you choose to go first to the hotel by car, when you reach the city centre, do not be afraid to turn left towards the restaurants’ terraces, the hotel entrance with one temporary parking place is really there :)

The breakfast was lacking of warm foods, only cooked egg was available. Some bacon with sausage and scrambled egg etc. would be a good addition.

Old style hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect right in the center near the shopping street, yet it was calm and quiet.

Lack of a little fridge and coffee and tea making facilities.

The hotel is situated directly on the main square in Linz (Hauptplatz), so you can't be more "in Linz" than this. The hotel itself is very old, with very interesting history (check the internet!) and most of its rooms have been preserved in their original form, though very thoughtfuly and carefuly renovated (bathroom, toillete). That all adds to a specific antique atmosphere. The stuff were exceptionaly friendly and helpful AND (as a plus and a very nice touch) - you get a bottle of Sekt (sparkling wine) with the hotel label on it for free if you stay over your birthday!

It's not barrier-free - there is no lift from the ground to the first floor (where the reception is), or at least we didn't find it; there is an inner lift, though, that can take you from the reception to higher floors (3 altogether); there is also no direct access with your (private) car to the entrance of the hotel (although we found an information in internet there should be one), so you have to park your car in one of the nearby underground parkings first and take your stuff over the main square to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel right in the middle of the piazza. We didnt have to walk far we were right in the middle of everything and car parking just minutes away. Professional service even available when we changed our check in time always available and prompt response.

Very noisy in the morning

Perfect central position. Spotless room, perfect for two adults and two children. Nice big bathroom. And both members of staff we dealt with were really nice and pleasant to talk to. Just one night but we enjoyed our stay.

The atmosphere is vintage charm, and the building and rooms are clean and very well-maintained. Staff are personable and helpful, and a pleasure to converse with. Of course the location is unbeatable — right in the old quarter, in the center of town, and walkable to everything.

Nothing, it was spectacular.
