How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewRight in the center of town for a great price. The accommodation was clean and the staff were approachable and friendly. It's a backpackers hostel but despite being 64 I felt right at home. I was in town to catch up with old friends and this location and price just couldn't be beaten. I would certainly book again. Had a double room which bigger than many I had stayed in in four star hotels!
Nothing really

Verified reviewA truly unique place to stay—definitely quirky, even very quirky, in both good and not-so-good ways, with a strong bohemian vibe. Finding the place and discovering the entrance was a bit tricky, but everything else was interesting, from the rabbits inside the hostel to the ducks and chickens in the courtyard. And all of this is right in the heart of town, surrounded by expensive hotels. If you need a place to sleep, freshen up, park your car or motorcycle, and cook your own meals, this is the perfect spot. Plus, you have a great chance to meet other travelers with fascinating stories. And of course, the price was way below all the different offerings I could find around.
While the stay was overall interesting, there were a few downsides. Finding the location and entrance was a bit challenging, and the washing facilities showed some signs of wear and tear. The courtyard was messy, which is expected given the number of ducks and chickens. The entire hostel could use a refresh. I preferred my own breakfast over the local offering. Although the kitchen was well-organized, it clearly needed better cleanliness—things should not only be clean but also look clean. The room was, let’s say, as it was, but the sheets were clean, and as a motorcycle traveler, all I really need is reasonably clean sheets, tolerable hygiene, and safety. Despite these small inconveniences, the experience was unique, and I don't regret it.

Verified reviewNothing comes to mind!
We booked a room with two single beds and possibility for a third person. We got a filthy small room with a bunk-bed. We paid 130 euros a night for that. Besides that we got the wrong room and we paid way too much only for that. We paid without the possibility to cancel; I get why this is their standard procedure. When you read a little bit more reviews, you would agree with other people that never want to stay at this Hostel. I would; if you are reading this review; run far far far away from this place. An owner that was repairing a deceased vacuum cleaner while talking to us. He didn't want to talk about the situation with a guest that is allergic to dust, just replying we could get a anti-allergy pillow; he is just missing the complete picture here. So if you want to spend too much, want to get sick and want to have a really bad holiday you should absolutely book this -Filthiest hostel in Austria! Good Luck!

Verified reviewNot your standard place, but is that really what you’d want? If so, go check into a hotel, because this pace certainly isn’t. It is full of good vibes though.

Verified reviewThis hostel is a bit "special". Although not too welcoming at a first sight, it has for sure a big value! The atmosphere that comes out is positive, cheerful, relaxing, there are common areas that bring people together, trigger good discussions und fun. The guy leading the hostel takes care of your needs, just ask! I was with a friend in one of the upper double rooms: quiet, big, good beds, enough comfortable shower facilities, on top we had Netflix for the room TV, which tought for a good-price hostel means really a "luxus" :) The location of the hostel is as well awesome, can't be better, in the centre and perfectly set for skiing.
The general order and cleanliness can be improved, especially as far as the breakfast concerns. There are fresh products to cook breakfast, but the kitchen is small and definitely not welcoming. So I just not recommend breakfast

Verified reviewThe location of the property is perfect for wintersport vacation. it is walking distance from one of popular lifts in the region. and walking distance from city center. the staff is friendly and helpful.
The entrance although seems pleasant from the photo’s but in reality it is very dirty with duck feces everywhere. the kitchen is dirty we didn’t make use of the free breakfast. the shared bathrooms and toilets also not clean at all. our beds were made with clean linens bit the room was not cleaned often you can see spiderweb everywhere. we know it is not a hotel but hygiene is just a must. the price is very low for the location so I guess you get what you pay for. we do not mind less comfort but we expected proper hygiene.

Verified reviewSnowbunnys was a great experience, the combination of location and hostel experience made for a great trip. I met great people (including Dave, the host), which meant there was always something going on and people to ski with. I would recommend this unique experience for any solo or small group of travellers.
the kitchen was sometimes a little bit untidy

Verified reviewIt was very central and a lot of young people in the house.
It was hard to prepare food because dishes were missing, appliances broken etc. In General it was difficult to do laundry or find clean towels.
Yes far to many young peoples :) You could have asked staff for information we dont bite , well Dave does.. Dishes normally hiding in the dish washer, clean towels could have been asked for. "appliances broken etc" ermmmm like what ?.
