Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaA mini fridge will be nice, so one can have a cold bottle of water when coming back from the city.
Good location, right beside the Prater park. Messe Prater metro station is only 2 minutes walking distance. The room is spacious and comfortable. The service was good, cleaning personnel is very nice and helpful.

United KingdomI’m trying to think of something that could be improved upon but I genuinely can’t.
Absolutely loved the vibe in the lounge area, really chilled and the staff were very attentive, comfortable beds, breakfasts were fab and we liked the extended breakfast times at the weekend😊 Excellent sound proofing on the windows, I’m a very light sleeper and i slept very well. Favourite part were the swinging chairs and pretending to be a James Bond villain in the giant swivel chairs😂 On our first day we discovered a wonderful little cafe a 10 minute walk away. The former converted ‘Weiner Pony Carousel’ ride in the Prater Park, lured by the smell of coffee and hunger we tucked into an eggs Benedict and a scrumptious waffly thing. The decor was wonderful as parrots are my favourite bird…a lovely start to the holiday🥰

United KingdomHappy with everything.
We loved this clean and modern hotel. The room was really comfy, and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The location was great too – just a short walk to the metro for easy access to Stephansplatz, and Prater Park was right behind the hotel.

GermanyUnfortunately, there is no fridge in the room, and the air conditioning doesn’t cool very well, so the rooms can get quite warm.
This hotel is perfectly located right next to the Prater, yet it’s surprisingly quiet inside. You can reach the city center on foot in about 20-25 minutes, depending on where you want to go in Vienna. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, with plenty of space to spread out your luggage. Parking is available at the hotel or right next door at the Prater Garage, which the hotel cooperates with—very convenient!

United StatesIt would have been helpful to have had a pot to boil water in. There was none in this room.
We chose the location to be close to the Prater and the Danube and it fulfilled that purpose.

ItalyThe hotel is in a great location, close to the Prater and between two metro stations. The rooms are clean and comfortable, as is the bed. Breakfast was not included in the price, but it was really good for the abundance and variety of food! After checking out, we left our luggage at the reception for free for a few hours!

Hungarystill not many vegan options at breakfast. not even plant based milk. Room 144 which is facing the street was very very noisy and we had upstairs polish neighbours who were screaming Kurva the whole night.
this is my 3rd time stating here. I love the location, that it's pet friendly (and our babies receive also a pillow and a bowl) and the comfortable place. Parking is easy and the staff is super nice.

New ZealandThe curtains didn't block out the light. 'Balcony' is a bit of an overstatement - it's more like a ledge. Ok for me as I was there alone but if you had two people you wouldn't both be able to sit on it at the same time. I did think the chair on it was quite comfy to sit in though. Not having a kettle to make tea in my room was annoying - yes, you can ask for hot water at the bar, but I want to drink tea more often than I wanted to do that and I couldn't have milk since there was no fridge in the room. I wasn't going to pay almost €4 for a cup of tea at the bar. I understand the 24 hour bar is part of the 'concept' but considering it wasn't an extremely cheap room, it would have been nice to have a kettle and fridge still.
It is right next to the ubahn station so very easy to get around, especially when I had to leave for the airport at 4am. I actually think I prefer this location rather than the centre of Vienna because it's a bit more residential and less overwhelming. Bed was comfortable, and I didn't have any problems with wifi in my room (which I was worried about due to previous reviews). It was quite well soundproofed against the outside so you couldn't really hear the screams from Prater unless you had the window open (although I could still hear noise from the hallway and sometimes from other rooms, but it wasn't super loud). The room wasn't huge but there was enough room on both sides of the bed to open my suitcase properly on the floor, which isn't a given in Europe.

HungaryPrice is 15-20% higher vs it should be.
- room is highly comfortable, great bed quality, enough storage for 1-2 nights stay - bathroom is practical, high quality and clean. Strong water pressure even on 4th floor - convenient and affordable parking - lobby is stylish and inviting, great bar - breakfast is correct (maybe a bit overpriced) - very well located if you want to spend time around Prater (also easy access to city center by U) - staff is very helpful and service oriented
