How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe whole hotel is newly build. Rooms are spacious and in-room facilities are adequate.
I have visited many 5 star hotels, but this one is not a 5 star hotel. I don’t complain quickly but this was not the service you would expect for this price. - Not enough beds at the pool. The hotel has room for 300 guests and only 30 bed at the poolside. - Official check-in time is 15:00. We arrived at 14:30 the room wasn’t ready until 15:45. We had to wait in the lobby for over 1 hour and 15 minutes. - If you come by car: For every day you are charged €30 for parking. Doesn’t matter inside or outside parking. Anywhere on the property = €30. There is no possibility to park elsewhere. - No roomservice available because of staff shortage. - Forgot to restock the minibar. I call (3x) to get restocked and get handed over warm beer. - Understaffed breakfast service, tables took a long time to be cleaned. - Standing in line for 10 minutes for an omelette or fried egg during breakfast. - No place in the restaurant for own guests. On the day of arrival we wanted to eat in the restaurant but both we’re full. Which is strange because the restaurants are huge, but I believe it was because of staff shortage. This happened on a couple of evenings. Eventually we always went out by car for dinner. - We had a room with “mountain view” but since we we’re located on the ground floor in the lower corner, the most of the view was on the restaurant terrace, so no privacy on your patio.

Verified reviewA great premises with excellent facilities and marvellous new wing. Rooms are extended and super clean. The hotel is a bit out of the town, but we liked it. In and out door pools are great and the new family/kids spa is marvellous. Reception team are friendly and helpful. We was 4 families and had 2 king rooms and 2 glorious penthouse apartments - all was nice decorated. Breakfast is great with many options to select.
Need to improve is all about the hotel restaurants. Restaurant TIROLIA is poor in means of dinning and service. The restaurant in the Golf club is fine, but also here service need to improve. Service team is the Breakfast are not friendly.

Verified reviewI’ve stayed at most of the 5-star hotels in Kitzbühel, and Grand Tirolia has now become my favorite. The service is excellent, the rooms are beautifully designed, the amenities are high quality, and the atmosphere is both professional and friendly. Cleanliness was perfect – every day, our room was cleaned while we were at breakfast, so we always came back to a fresh and tidy space. The breakfast itself was outstanding: a wide variety, fresh and top-quality products, and everything well presented and constantly replenished. I’ve seen some negative reviews mentioning poor cleanliness, long waits, or a disappointing breakfast. Based on my stay, I can say these comments do not reflect reality. Everything we experienced was the opposite – smooth, clean, and very well managed. Grand Tirolia offers true 5-star comfort with great attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kitzbühel.

Verified reviewThe hotel feels luxurious indeed and the staff are incredibly welcoming and efficient. We had a gorgeous Deluxe room in the new part of the hotel, with stunning views of the mountains. The facilities are great, the kids indoor swimming pool and kids club were perfect for our daughter at the end of the day after long hikes in the mountain. The adults spa is also stunning. The decor throughout the hotel is quirky and elegant and the lobby has so many beautiful seating areas where you could easily spend time with a book and a cocktail. However, the mountains around are too beautiful to want to be stuck indoors. We really loved the golf club restaurant, the food was exquisite and the service excellent. Great value for money too. The breakfast at the hotel was also absolutely amazing with so many options.
There was quite a bit of refurbishment going around (summer is the only time they can do it so fair enough but it was a bit of an eye sore) and the outdoor swimming pools were closed because of that. The first night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and we waited for one and half hours for our food to arrive. Luckily we weren't in a rush or starving but we definitely noticed a slower and less efficient service comparing to the golf club restaurant.

Verified reviewWe’ve been coming to Austria for over 20 years now, and working in luxury hospitality, we’re very picky! Well….there is nothing to be picky about Grand Tirolia. Flawless stay from A to Z. From the upgrade at check in (we booked through Booking) to the lovely staff and the great service. A special Thank you to Raji and his exceptional concierge service. And to Alexandru who was always willing to help. The hotel is spotless clean having undergone an extensive renovation. Food is out of this world-all produce is sourced locally. Spa is lovely (separate adults only and family spas!) and Edmund is very nice! The view is dreamy and we loved the fact that it’s 4 km away from the city center. We didn’t come to the mountains to stay downtown :) Best choice we could have made, happy to have found our home away from home. We will be back every year!
