Some facilities are not that modern but that doesn't make it less comfortable.

The rooms are very clean and the bed comfortable. The host is kind and friendly and the breakfast very tasty. I would definitely recommend it and return any time.

Amazing location right in front of the mountain. I was there for 5 nights for a skiing trip and it was a great location. Walking distance to the skiing resort, supermarket, restaurants and Cafe. The owner is amazing and very helpful.

The staff was very nice and willing to help. Breakfast has always fresh ingredients, me and my friends are very satisfied with it. Location is great, very close to ski slope and a supermarket (Billa) If you're arriving by train, you can get a free taxi from the hotel to the train station if you're a guest at the hotel (you should get a card confirming that)

The breakfast is limited; nothing is cooked except one boiled egg/person/day. Coffee is great, though. The building is from 1918 with a wooden structure, so the noise insulation is not excellent, but we weren't bothered by that.

Excellent value for the money. It has a good location, free parking in the backyard, clean and warm. There is a nice restaurant (Belvedere) just 2 minutes of walking away and a Billa supermarket just 3 minutes away. The ski area is just across the street, 5 minutes of walking. The rooms are big enough, with daily cleaning and towel replacement. There is also a heated dedicated room for the skiing equipment. The view from the balcony is great, with the opposite ski slope illuminated at night.

I came to Edelweiss and was so lucky to experience the lovely location when it was snowing. Cold, but very nice to step out on the balcony. Beware, only 5 minuts walk to Bella supermarked, and a bakery ...5 minuts, ask Else how to get there. She was the most kind and always smiling host. I will defenetly come back. I called Edelweiss when I arrived by train, and Else send me a taxi. 8 euro.

Never did quite work out how to make best use of the very small bath tub in my room, as a bath or shower.

Good location in the centre of the village. About 20 minute walk uphill from the train station, closer to the bus stop. Helpful and friendly people, nice breakfast and good dining options in the evening. Beautiful area with lots of great walks and views, with a regular train service to Vienna and Graz, Unfortunately Storm Boris restricted my movements quite a bit, but it is an interesting town to explore especially the history behind some of the huge old 19th century hotels that drew visitors in the first place. When I stayed (two nights during the week), the restaurant was not open, though the 2nd night, the hosts made a nice pizza for me. Lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim and the shower small, but nothing really of consequence. The balcony and view certainly compensated for these minor details. All in all, a very good choice.

The location in Semmering was excellent. Not too far from the center or the ski slopes (though I am not a skier). I had a wonderful view from my room and balcony of the mountain with the skiers expertly slaloming down the slope. It was a real pleasure seeing them. The lodgings in Semmering all are located some distance from the rather isolated train station. Though a weekend shuttle bus (F-Su) is available, during the rest of the week, one has to rely on taxis or by foot (some distance uphill!). Breakfast was good and complete, buffet style. Very good value for the money compared to other hotel options.

I had a very nice stay here. My room was very nice and clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was modern and very clean. Plenty of room with a closet and a small refrigerator. Also had a small patio with great mountain view. Breakfast was excellent. A good selection of meats, fruit, bread, cereal and beverages. The WiFi was very good. Great location only a couple of minutes from the town center and bus stop. The train station is about 15 minutes away on foot. The proprietor was wonderful. She was fun to talk with and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

What could be improved is the breakfast - there was a small selection, the pastries (buns, bread) were not fresh. Likewise, the vegetables and fruits were often visibly from the previous days.

Close to the village center. The rooms were clean. The equipment was older, but everything was functional. The owner was pleasant and kind.

The wi-fi could be improved as the signal was very weak.

The Wurm Family was very gracious and friendly. It was nice to have cats on the premises. The breakfast was plentiful and included fresh fruit, muesli and optional soft-boiled eggs.
