Spacious room, easy to access from the Kaiserkrone hiking trail, great breakfast with local produce. Loved the choice of Alpine cheeses.

Excellent location for the Kaiser Krone Trail, friendly staff and good food.

Shower fixtures needed updating, washed out bed sheets and frayed towels in the bathroom.

Convenient location for hikers on the Kaiser Krone trail. Room was clean, comfortable beds, good shower. Evening meal and breakfast were good

Wi-fi was very poor. It only worked in the bar area, not in the bedroom or on the terrace where we ate our meal. Quad room was very small for 4 people. We were a group of 3 with minimal luggage and it was still cramped. Had to walk 500 metres to a larger hotel for breakfast.

We had two rooms, a doble that was great, spacious and comfortable. Also had a kind of dorm room for 4 friends, a little bit less free space but still good and meeting the expectations

The hotel receptionist was very kind and fun. The food was also very well prepared. Breakfast was great. The room was ok.

I had a feeling that the place needs some renovation. Smell of smoking coming from the bathroom vent bothered me. Room price seemed a bit high compared to what was offered.

The room was spacious, clean and nice to relax in after a big day hiking. The restaurant for dinner was great too; I certainly wasn’t left hungry!

We loved Gasthaus Mitterjager! It was in an excellent location - right near the bus stop as well as near the local cheese shop. The front of house was great as well. He was very personable and really hustled to maintain the property as well as serve all the guests. We enjoyed speaking to him during our stay! The half board option was perfect for us. The breakfast was located at the bigger property Gasthaus Gut Kramerhof which was a fun change. That breakfast was a huge buffet spread and the property was fun to explore due to their beautiful grounds/farm animals. The dinner was four courses (soup, salad, main, dessert) and was absolutely delicious both nights

The facilities certainly needed updated. Some of the room decor could have been slightly updated/elevated and the wifi could certainly been improved. The wifi only worked if you were in the reception area very close to the router. This was a major disappointment!

The receptionist from the Czech republic was cool, he got friendlier and more funny as we taught him some polite English expressions. The room was ok, good bed, TV and good shower. The location was good and the food we ate at the restaurant there was also good.

There were some old dusty lampshades and some old dusty on a rope light hanging from the ceiling. There was dust on top of the cupboard and cobwebs by the windows. I am sensitive to dust. I think 136 euros was too expensive for this room but it was still the cheapest I could find so........ The bath towels were also old and frayed.

Friendly Staff and dinner menue

Close to an ice-cream/cake shop, what more could you want? It's own restaurant food was superb and the staff were brilliantly helpful.

Great location to the horse riding school. Our girl liked the bunk beds.

Not many choices for breakfast. No lift, so if you have got a heavy suitcase, you might find it difficult as I did.

Nice, clean room, not too fancy. Good breakfast included and enough parking space.

We came back to the room at 1 am after a wedding and the front door was locked. No staff available at night at this or at the partner hotel, and the listed phone number rang indefinitely. At checkin they forgot to tell us that there is a back door which opens with the room's keys, which we found out of desperation by looking all around the property, almost resigned to sleeping in our car.

Nice place and location and house. Typical Austria. For breakfast we got everything, sometimes you had to ask for eggs and bread and cheese.

A verry narrow room for four people. No place for the luggage.

Perfect place. We hiked here from Stripsenjochhaus. The guy who runs it couldn't have done anything more for us, from drinks to dinner. The service and food we received was excellent. The menu was varied and reflective of the local cuisine. There were three of us and we stayed in a family room. It was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great. Hopefully we'll stay in Mitterjager again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like here.

We had an amazing stay at this guesthouse. The host was so lovely and made us feel right at home. She went completely out of her way to make sure we have a delicious vegan dinner and breakfast at their restaurant. The room was spotless clean and we did not hear any neighbors, which is a big plus. We only stayed 1 night, but the hosts warmth made me give her a hug when we left. I can not thank her enough, we will definitely return if we come to gasteig again and she will have a special plave in our traveling hearts forever.
