How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location, great that kids eat free at the restaurants.
Parking is a bit tricky sometimes.

Verified reviewBreakfast was great, they had dairy free options including oat milk and were happy to discuss allergens in the cereals etc. Omelettes made to order. The swimming pool was lovely. Much quieter in the morning. Good location in the centre and 5 mins from train station. Free dinner for kids and 10% was great. We didn't want to tie ourselves to half board so this was a nice perk when we did eat at the hotel.
The curtains were inadequate, they let in a lot of light so we were up with the sunrise! An easy fix for the hotel but in the meantime Families with little kids should bring some stick on blinds. Our room was very hot, even after turning off radiator. Being in the centre meant it was quite loud in the evenings when there were concerts in the town centre (surprisingly often.) we enjoyed listing to the music from the balcony and our child slept through it, thankfully. The free meals for kids don’t start till 6.30 which was a little late for us. Please also provide some vegetables with the kids meals in the restaurant! It is very hard to get your ‘5 a day’ when you’re on holiday.

Verified reviewThe Breakfast buffet is very good, complete with an omelette and egg chef and good coffee served direct to the table and pretty much anything else you want. Dinner was good on 2 out of the 3 nights of our stay. Portion sizes were plenty for 4 courses + salad buffet. Table service at both breakfast and dinner was very attentive and friendly. The pool area on the top floor is excellent, warm with mountain views, loads of pool toys and even a swim up bar. Kids enjoyed the play corner in the dining area. Our room was quiet and spacious with a mini kitchenette.
Rather disorganised with the booking. We had booked half board which they didn't confirm at check-in, I suspected something was up and showed our booking confirmation. This was then amended after some more waiting around at reception but when we came down for dinner at 6:30pm with the family no one could direct us to our table and we had to wait while the staff messed around with handwritten lists. The following day both our room key cards didn't work and had to be reprogrammed. It all seemed a little bit unprofessional for a 4 star hotel. "All-inclusive" is probably a bit of a stretch as parking cost extra and only beer/house wine/soft drinks at the dinner table were included.

Verified reviewA really good family hotel with lots of nice things for the kids and parents. Breakfast and dinner are really good, the only problem is coffee. Many hotels nowadays even have a small coffee machine in the room, so you can have coffee very quickly and during the day if you want too. Here is even no self-service coffee machine at the breakfast - it's only served if you ask and the cups are really small. Another small complaint is that it was really loud on a late Sunday evening - there was a loud party outside at the back of the hotel, but it was really loud inside too. And parking. I booked a parking lot in the hotel, but on arrival the receptionist said that we have to park in ~1km away and walk from there. Later we learned that it was her mistake and we had a spot reserved for us, she just ignored it.

Verified reviewOur stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! It’s a perfect choice for families, with plenty of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained. The pool area was a fantastic way to unwind after a long day on the slopes. We were initially hesitant about opting for half-board, but we’re so glad we did—the meals were exceptional! Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of delicious options that catered to both adults and kids alike. The hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient, with ski lifts just a short distance away. Plus, having parking on-site made it easy to drive to the lifts whenever we needed. If you're planning a family ski trip, this hotel is an ideal choice—highly recommend!

Verified reviewThe location in center of Seefeld.
Old hotel - old, damaged furniture and walls. Need of reconstruction. Bathtub with bad access. Only a soap in bathroom from old dispenser. Found a lost mascara under bed from previous quest - not cleaning enough. The bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable.

Verified reviewThere was a good choice of food and it was good quality.
It would have been good to have tea and coffee in the room. There should also be more of a discount if you decide not to have dinner on a specific night and perhaps not be tied to only a couple of alternative places to eat instead. A friend turned up to meet us on one night and rather than miss the dinner to go somewhere else to eat with him we had to rush our dinner to be able to meet him afterwards. I think there is also a policy to not allow people to eat the dinner if they can‘t stay at the hotel. This isn‘t a big negative as I can understand the rules but it would have been good if there was amore flexible approach.

Verified reviewRight in the middle of Seefeld with a (very tight) garage meant it was a great location. The food was very good (we were on the half-board option which included house wine and beer). The facilities are good and the staff were excellent.
It felt like they were trying to cram everything into a small swimming space. They had a slide, a swim-up bar, an indoor jacuzzi and outdoor whirlpool as well as saunas. Each done ok - but could fewer have been done better?

Verified reviewPerfect location. In the centre near to supermarkets and close to ski bus. The hotel staff was so helpful with anything we needed arranging transfers and horse rides. The hotel bar was great with interactive games. The room was spacious for our family with gorgeous views. The hotels restaurant was amazing, we got takeaway on our arrival night and ate their each evening. Great pool facilities also which the children loved.

Verified reviewOur third time at Das Kaltschmid - never disappoints. We unexpectedly timed our stay with the German school holidays and, although busy with families, the room was quiet and our stay and use of the facilities was unaffected. It’s a lovely hotel and the breakfast is to die for - absolutely amazing selection & friendly staff. The queue for the freshly made omelette is very worthwhile.
Absolutely nothing - it’s why we keep returning three years running….

Verified reviewOur room was well-sized and very comfortable with both sofa and table and chairs - we also had a small kitchenette, though we only used the kettle. The only thing lacking was a view from the balcony. Meals were excellent, as was the service - although occasionally the translations on the menu were a bit random! Plenty of excellent salads, bread and cheese as well, if you ended up with something unexpected. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the bar downstairs has plenty of life in the evenings. The pool area has great views of the mountains and is a good place to watch the sun go down, although it does get very busy in the hours before dinner. There is, however, a lovely adult-only relaxation room on the upper level if you want peace and quiet.
This is definitely a family hotel so if you don't like children around all the time it probably isn't the place for you. We enjoyed the vitality they added - though would have preferred it if they were not allowed in the outdoor whirlpool which has lovely views of the mountains and feels like a place for quiet contemplation.

Verified reviewHotel location is ideal, right in the centre, couldn't be better. From check-in to check-out everything went smoothly. Room - A little on the warm side, heating seemed to have a mind of its own, but nicely roomy with everything you would need, shower spot on, hairdryer included for those that need one! Breakfast was a feast with everything you would want for a breakfast including a chef to cook you the all important fried eggs/omelette. Pool is lovely and clean, great after a days skiing/hiking. Hot tub on the roof is a great touch, just gets a little busy with everyone trying to get in it.
Other than the heating being uncontrollable, nothing this hotel is great!

Verified reviewWe went as a 3 generation family. The food is fantastic. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The nursery slopes and toboggan area are just across the road, so it's not far to walk with little ones. The pool and spa area is on the 4th floor, where you can look out of a full height glass window whilst in the pool. Baby buggies, highchairs and toboggans are available to borrow. Small toys, books and colouring are available at meal times, to keep kids amused. It was perfect for our family. We have stayed in various hotels in Seefeld over the years and despite saying how good it is for families with children, we would definitely go back to stay as a couple. Excellent all round.
I would have liked a kettle in our room.
