How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

While the price is competitive in the region, it is a lot of money for a ‘standard’ hotel room. Would still recommend.

Verified reviewLovely warm welcome :-) Very good breakfast. Great location close to asitzbahn cable car (and transportation of bikes up the mountain also possible). Nice swimming pools with some comfy beds around. Good parking facilities and great bike storage area for our own bikes.
Wifi occasionally dropped out West facing room during heat wave meant it took time for room to cool down at night! From UK / US just to note that whirlpool and sauna area is a naked area, similar to many spas in Austria.

Verified reviewSpacious well-decorated rooms. Location could be convenient for winter sports as the ski lift is near by.
Hotel is much larger than one would expect from a boutique hotel - it comprises from few buildings with an underground connection. Frustrating dinner: quality is ok but variety is poor. No simple meat option so I had to pay extra for a basic Wiener Schnitzel. There are no spa towels in the room and around the swimming pool - they can be found just in sauna. No sockets around the bed.
Dear Eduard, Thank you for your review and praise of our rooms. Our hotel is a little more spacious with the underground corridor, perhaps that's why it seems a little larger to you. A boutique hotel can have up to 100 rooms, we only have 35 rooms, however. Bathrobes are provided in all rooms, suites and flats and a wellness bag with towels is available, which are replaced daily as part of the room cleaning service. Extra towels are available in the sauna area. Unfortunately, you only spent 1 night with us. We are sorry that our daily changing evening menus, on your only evening in the restaurant, did not meet your taste. Verified review- great place, beautiful view - really pretty architecture - from outside as well as inside, beautiful rooms - beautiful wellness - clean, spacious beds next to the pool - cable car (lift) to the top of the hill for free - 2x a day - very tasty and diverse breakfast
- no doors to the bathroom (it looks pretty but is not very practical) - small problem with dinner - pre-ordered dessert was not available for our kid, the staff was not able to solve it but we received a voucher as compensation from owners after sending our feedback

Verified reviewThe room was comfortable and the hotel is well decorated. The sauna/spa/pool area is very nice, very clean and modern and not overcrowded. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. You do receive a complimentary single use lift ticket for the area and you can also purchase lift tickets directly with the hotel.
I was a little disappointed with the assigned seating for meals. I specifically booked this hotel on an all inclusive basis because of the advertisement on nice meals in a nice area. The first night we came down to find we had an assigned table off to the side in a sparsely filled breakfast room with too much light. Not exactly the romantic/birthday weekend getaway feeling I was hoping for. They were nice enough to re-assign our seat in the dining room area for the following evening and also breakfast on our last day. I imagine there is some reason behind the assigned seating, but I found it a bit odd and off-putting.

Verified reviewThe hotel is super close to the lift, the staff were great and the cuisine was superb! They even made a gluten free and dairy free menu for my partner, which we really appreciated.
During the first day of our stay our room was a bit colder than what we’d normally expected, but it eventually got warmer.
