Very welcoming staff, clean well proportioned rooms, good food.

Exceptional service, staff very efficient and polite. We decided to extend our stay and the Hotel was exceedingly helpful and accomodating. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended !

Dinner. They were trying too hard. I appreciate fine food--especially Austrian/Tyrolean cuisine. But the 5 course dinners was trop cuisiné. " Frothy"

It was just perfect, the room was huge and bath was well maintained a clean (!) , dinner and breakfast was really good (maybe one of the best i had).

The location was challenging, since the it is positioned on high slope 10 minutes walking from the bus station of scheffau.

This is an extremely comfortable, beautiful, family-run hotel with all of the best services of a large first class hotel, but it feels like being hosted by close friends. We stayed four nights and enjoyed every day and night. We loved the well furnished chalet, the beautiful bathroom and roomy sauna, the very comfortable beds, the extra nice linens and towels, the outdoor seating, the pool area. We appreciated the large parking lot. The meals were tremendous; the dinners had excellent choices of local cuisine. Each one an elegant surprise. Breakfast offered more options than we could sample-great breads and cheeses. Meats, fruits and vegetables, yogurts etc. Afternoon snacks were delicious and just as we needed them, eaten in the lovely salon. Best of all were the people who hosted us; at the desk, in the restaurant, housekeeping. We had access to their help with questions about the area and local services. Having traveled extensively for many years, we felt this was a remarkable discovery. Rare hosting and comfort.

I have never left a bad review ANYWHERE but I am surprised this place has this high of a rating. Value for money was very poor. Old, dusty, inflexible... I booked this for a birthday trip and have to say that the overall experience was disappointing and I left feeling like I overpaid majorly. I have to add that I made the mistake of missing the cancellation period when first booking one of their chalets for 6 people. Their cancellation policies are extremely inflexible (30 days in advance). I missed it by 5 days and called to inquire in the most friendly way to see if we could split our booking to two days in one of their smaller rooms since we were no longer traveling with a big group. They kept making me the same offer of paying 600 USD/night for the smaller room AND paying an extra night which I kept declining. I could see that there were rooms available for ~300 USD per night which made me believe it would be possible to just split my money in two but they kept refusing to rebook me blaming Booking.com policies even though Booking.com kept telling me that it was up to the accommodation. To this day I don't understand why it was so hard to help me out here. Terrible experience but ok- I get that theoretically I'm the one who missed the cancellation window but I've never dealt with a place this inflexible and ridiculously overpriced. At arrival I have to say they were very kind and offered to show us the Turm-Suite which they could rebook us to but for 400 USD per night it was very old fashioned and old... so we decided to just stick to the chalet so we didn't have to pay another 200 Euros extra. To their credit they claimed that none of the cheaper rooms were available anymore which maybe by then was true but they were definitely available 25 days ago when I first made an effort to rebook our booking. At least they were not able to give me a real explanation for why what I was asking for was so impossible.

Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend getting the dinner. Great value with 4 courses that were excellent every night! The recommended wine pairings were excellent as well and we were able to try Austrian varietals.
