I was upset with the hotel policy around the 50% rate for late check out - they charge 50% of the rate that includes breakfast (which is higher) than the rate that does not include breakfast (a bit lower). It is fair that a rate is charged, but the person won't have breakfast anyways. So I understand this as an unfair way to charge the client. The hotel has a swimming pool. But don't expect to be enjoying it, really. It is just side-to-side with the restaurant tables - no room at all to be around it. So it feels very uncomfortable to be in the pool.

The buffet food was cold at lunchtime and my room service meal and one evening dinner could have been hotter as well. There are no shops/bars/restaurants close by so a bit remote.

I had two minor issues and one minor complaint:: 1) The small in room safe was not affixed to the wall. Also, it had no instructions, and neither myself or the service technician who succeeded in opening it had any luck resetting the code and opening it with the keypad. 2) The room had a sophisticated phone with digital display, but none of the direct keys were programmed and functioning. When I went down to the service desk I was told to dual 9 but the hotel didn't bother putting working numbers on a card next to the phone in lieu of programming the keys such as "reveption". 3) No towels provided at the jacuzzi.

Very nice staff. Spacious suite was spotless, the air conditioning was excellent, and there was convenient table and rack for luggage.

I stayed at this hotel for a mini honeymoon, staff was friendly and the room was big and comfortable, I spent most of my time out so I didn't get to enjoy everything else. The breakfast is generous in my opinion. Unfortunately, the pool was in maintenance during our stay.

Travel in Angola for vegetarians can be difficult. I spoke to the chef at the sushi restaurant upstairs and he made me a custom vegetarian sushi plate that was the best I’ve eaten anywhere in the world. I rarely write reviews, but his kindness and that he and the staff were willing to accommodate my needs, as well as the exceptional quality have compelled me to write this. I suggested they add it to the menu!

The staff just seem untrained, they will not go out of their way to help you out, for example I did not have an electrical socket adapter, asked the receptionist and they just said "sorry we dont have those at the hotel". One bumped into me at breakfast and just went on about his business.

The breakfast was very average; no bacon...its Angola, why no bacon?! The rooftop terrace's food was expensive and pretty ordinary.

The only complaint I have is that my toilet wouldn't flush properly and I asked the front desk multiple times to send someone. They said they would, but no one ever came to look at it.

They do not provide some bathroom essentials- no face cloth, no shower cap, no vanity pack. The hotel restaurant staff were very slow in providing service. My bag went missing from the conference area.

The roof top swimming pool is very small and only open between 10am and 5pm which defeats the purpose of a pool for exercise. The restaurant offers a good selection of meals but is not cheap. Overall the hotel is expensive and hence scores rather low on value-for-money. Airport shuttle service is expensive (USD 60 one way)

The Palmeiras Suite Hotel has spacious suite-style rooms, good aircon, kitchenette + fridge, TV with excellent channel choice, offers an excellent breakfast, has a very well equipped gym and is centrally located in the Talatona area; it is a good short-stay business hotel which offers airport shuttle services

I found the hotel extra services was way too expensive: - I've requested a meeting room for a 2h meeting and the hotel wanted to charge me $120. I paid for a serviced office nearby $40 of the same - The airport transfer was offered at $90. I paid for the equivalent $50.
