Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very nice house the hosts are very kind and helpful although they don't speak English but always try to communicate and share food. It was easy to find and has 2 shops nearby and the bus 226 from Yerevan stops right in front of the shop. Also it's 30 min walk from the main attractions. All over was a nice stay and would recommend.

This is a wonderful house, run by two lovely friendly people who will make sure you are comfortable throughout your stay. They werei like real grandparents, gave me delicious food, shared a family barbecue with me, and vegetables from the garden. The house is clean, spacious, and warm. And just up the road from a supermarket in Garni. I got a bit lost on the way, but if you go through the village, towards Goght, turn left then right after supermarket, and it's just up the road with a blue gate.

JapanIt was wonderful to stay in the guesthouse an old Armenian husband and wife are managing. They are super lovely and heartwarming people. I spent time to drink coffee several times with them. They can't speak English but we can communicate with love. The hostel is very clean and there's no problem. I definitely can recommend to staying here!

RomaniaThey neither speak a word in English nor do they know how to use Google translate.I wad shown a smaller different room than t8he one I booked. Location is wrong and the road to the house is so muddy, terrible&dark I end up with mud on my trousers and my travel boots 2 inchs deep I'm mud. It's a small country house where the old couple live. It's very uncomfortable to stay there where your every move is watched and you're made to feel as an intruder. I didn't feel comfortable using the kitchen or just hang out in the common space. Plus, you share the bathroom with the hosts and it was gross all the time. Food offered is very badly prepared and austere so prepare your meals yourself. Most importantly, i stopped in Garni for few days to recharge and relax for my next destination but I was constantly asked if I wanted to go here or there .And when I was about to order a taxi for 2500 to geghard monastery the grandfather offered to take me there instead of taxi later he asked me to pay him which I did but he wanted MORE!So if you're offered (free)car ride just decline and order yandex.
Kind host lady who is trying to be helpful Quiet place at night so good sleep is guaranteed clean towels offered for free Good wifi for surfing only and the place was warm in comparison to other stone houses in region.

SpainI cannot really complain about anything. There is something with water supply in Armenia that is a bit strange. Apparently, they turn off the water during the night or at some times during the day. Maybe because they don't have enough, I am not sure. But this is not grandpa and grandma's fault. I had the same issue in Dilijan. Water didn't work during the night, after 23:30 or so. Ah, I should add that they don't speak English, but with my basic Russian was more than enough to communicate. Their granddaughter speaks English though, so she can translate
Best place to stay in Garni. A lovely elderly couple will welcome you in their house. The room is spacious and the bed super comfortable. Internet works well and they have a beautiful and big garden in the back. Grandpa came to pick me up from the main street and grandma was always offering me food. They were the loveliest human beings I met in Armenia. Amazing people. Their granddaughter came over during the weekend with her husband and they were also really kind people. Thanks to them I had such a great experience. Grandpa can also drive you to the main places around for a fee. Can only recommend. They're truly the best.

FranceThe fridge in the bedroom is not a good idea as it's very noisy at night. No curtain so daylight comes in the room early.
The place is run by a couple of "old" Armenians (no english is spoken). They are very welcoming and they will do everything to make your stay confortable. The house is huge. My room was large and the bed was good. Breakfast is possible for 2000 dram : almost everything is home made. The man can take you to Gherart monastery (2000 dram one way/3000 return).
