How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewParking was convenient. Swimming pool is clean.
It's located by the farm so expect crawling bugs in your room. The shared bathroom was by our room so it was loud everytime someone uses the bathroom. The lights goes on and off during our stay and the water in the shower goes everywhere(it floods towards the toilet). The bathroom does not have a door, so if you're trying to do number 2, whoever is sharing your room with will smell what you're doing there.

Room and camping site not very clean and they don’t do housekeeping. Shower was leaking.

Verified reviewThe sheets were clean, the swimming pool was amazing and it is an all inclusive resort. You can have a drink, dine and grab a coffee without leaving the place. The employee that helped us out, speaks 4 or 5 or maybe 10 languages.. He was amazing. There were farm animals all over the place.. Chickens, roosters, cats, we saw some cows passing by, sheep on the back field. It was a dream.
We didn't have a fridge in our room but when we needed it, we could go and ask for some ice cubes to put in our water at the reception. There was not enough space in our room to put our luggage, no hangers for jackets and stuff, no towel hangers in the bathroom.. Kind of restricted space.

Verified reviewIt's a great place to sleep and the pool is very nice. It was fantastic to have a place to swim in northern Albania! The airco works very well and the beds are good with nice sheets. It is a bit of a walk from the main town, about 30 minutes. They let us use the bikes, sometimes we had to pay, sometimes we didn't.
Food and drinks are available which is great with no t many options in the neighbourhood but are not the strong point of this accomodation.

Verified reviewPerfect location and friendly staff. They helped is book our transport for the Valbone to Theth hike too and we could leave our car here for 5 euro’s per night. The room was small but cosy and the pool was nice. There was a cute cat and a lot of baby chickens they were cute.
The shower was not seperated through a screen or a curtain from the rest of the bathroom so the water was everywhere which was annoying

Verified reviewCleanliness, nice food and staff at the restaurant, quiet, air-conditioned. Helpful staff. Small chickens and kittens. Pool (but we did not go in).
We ordered room with 4 beds and got a tiny room with one double bed and not much space. The room has certainly a lot things to be finished, it seems it is not detailed - one lamp not working, area around door to bathroom looks like from a building site, metal of a walk in door is loose and keeps falling off. The holder of the shower does not fit the shower handle. A mosquito in the room. The road leading to the site is not welcoming.

Verified reviewSoni, the owner, is a Nice guy. The restaurant is good.
The camping situation is horrible, surrounded by cars graveyard. We saw several times a member of the personnel beating dogs. The climatisation didn't work. We could ear everything from the room next to our room. Holes in the wall >>>> a lot of mosquitos inside

Verified reviewThe only positive aspect was the pool, and a staff member named Javid was very helpful.
The owner is quite greedy. This was our first visit to Albania, and we weren’t familiar with the local rates or how things work. When we agreed to the trips they arranged, we later realized they had charged excessively for transportation. Even the food they served was overpriced compared to the restaurants in the town center. Unfortunately, we only realized this after spending one day at the accommodation.

Verified reviewThis place was such a great find! Such good value for money and we were really happy with our room. The property has a very peaceful energy and had chickens, cats and a few sheep roaming around. The wifi wasn't very strong in our room but I was able to sit out in the sun and do my remote work on the restaurant outside tables which The staff were great and very accommodating to our late arrival. We also really enjoyed the food from the restaurant - I'm still thinking about that spaghetti bolognese with grilled vegetables!

Verified reviewStaff were friendly and spoke good English
Honestly don't understand the hype behind this. Beds were the least comfortable of our entire 3 weeks in Albania. People raved about the breakfast they got before their transfer to Valbona yet we were informed unless we paid for their specific services we wouldn't get it. Parking here was also more expensive AND a 40 minute walk from the center.
