There was no top sheet or duvet cover on the bed. Only a bedspread and two thin covers that were more like a towel than a blanket. Also the electric kettle in the room is a nice feature but mine was not working.

The rooms were incredibly hot during the day. They did cool off during the night. Would be good if every room had a fan.

The dinner was fantastic! We arrived early, and they kindly let us leave our bags in the office while we hiked.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The accommodation has such a warm, alpine charm, with cosy wooden interiors that make you feel instantly at home. Our room was comfortable and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the mountains. The bar area downstairs is a real highlight – charming, well-kept, and the ideal spot to unwind in the evening. The setting is simply stunning, with the lodge framed beautifully against the mountain backdrop, especially magical at night when the building is lit up. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always making us feel welcome. For the price, it’s unbeatable – we honestly couldn’t fault it. A perfect mix of comfort, atmosphere, and value. Highly recommended!

Nice wooden style of accommodation and great breakfast! Otherwise not that good. The problem was that there were lots of small isssues and it wasn’t built accurately - for example we had problems with locking and opening our doors, you couldn’t close the doors to the bathroom, no warm water, bathroom not completely finished, really tiny space (a bit higher men wouldn’t fit..), lots of holes in windows and doors to the balcony so we felt a bit cold at night…

Staff,(owners?) were not very welcoming nor friendly. I felt I was more of a nuisance than a paying guest. . Room not sound proof .. could hear people upstairs and next door. Kettle provided but no cup. No blanket. Had no hot water on the first night more hooks to hang clothes, towel would be good Friendly customer service can make such a difference.. whilst it improved a little, it should come naturally in this industry.

Bathroom facilities could use some improvement — the shower leaked, making it difficult to keep the rest of the bathroom dry, and the toilet was missing a seat.

Convenient location, especially for buses to Shkoder and the Blue Eye. The room was simple and as described. The self-service breakfast was decent, and overall it offered good value for money.

Unfortunately, not everything was okay. To start with, there were problems with the electricity. The lady at the reception desk told us a rather mysterious sentence: "Electricity is everywhere." However, when we got to the room, most of the sockets were dead, and we had trouble recharging our phones (after a long hike, you really want to recharge your phone). At one point, even the lights went out, and I had to finish my shower in complete darkness. (Though I must admit, the electricity was restored by the evening.) Another issue was that while the room had a tea/coffee set (with a kettle and two types of cups), there was no actual coffee, tea, or even a spoon. Additionally, the room was moderately sized, and while placing lots of pillows on the bed might look nice, there was no space to put them when it was time to sleep. I know most of these issues are minor, but considering the price is quite high, and it seems the owners have some ambitions, they should sort these things out.

The hotel is in a new (or recently renovated) building, and the owners are very nice. The rooms are pleasant, though not very spacious. I particularly enjoyed the graphics showcasing information about the local mountain wildlife. They serve a fantastic breakfast, and it was the first hotel in Albania where we received bathrobes, slippers, and other amenities.

The bathroom didn't have ventilation in the room we stayed, and therefore the smell of humidity and dump was quite strong the moment you open the door.

There was just one small issue with the bathroom, which was really small, had a broken toilet seat and didn't have an opening window or some other option to ventilate. However it was really no big deal because of many positives.

Super friendly and very helpful staff which exceeded our expectations and helped us with anything we wanted. The surroundings and views were amazing and I highly recommend the food here in Villa Gurra. The room we had (5 beds right under the roof) is really good value for money. Another positive was a big and really delicious breakfast.

We had the last room. It had a really small shower and toilet. We heard that it is very hard to renovate some rooms because of problems with the government.

The staff was really helpfull. I became sick and the boy helped me to go to the doctor in Theth. The owner, She is a nurse, asked every day how I feel. The room was in the front of the hotel with balcony.
