Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

When you go outside of the hotel, it’s a bit messy, but it’s not their fault. You can see homeless and some of garbage.

Still hate the bidet spray lol
My second time here at this hotel in two weeks. Stayed here again (recommended this hotel to other friends who stayed here and well and equally happy) because of a great first impression and experience. Again - spotless clean, so well-maintained and of course, the amazing and ever so helpful Chris!

The bidet spray drives me nuts. Don't know why it has to be so complicated. It gives off boiling hot water and I can't figure out how to adjust it.
This hotel is amazing and offers great value for money. Spotlessly clean and tastefully designed, it’s incredibly comfortable, and the location is superb. Chris is an absolute gem- helpful, accommodating, and highly professional. We really liked him. Perfect service, perfect place.

Great spot. The lovely man who checked us in was so kind and helpful. Rooms are very spacious and clean. We booked with a balcony which was great. We had fabulous dinner next door at Oda. If we come back to Tiranë, we will definitely stay here again! Thank you

I liked everything about our stay and so did my family. From Chris at reception to the service team to the neighbourhood to the restaurant next door to the cleanliness to the furnishings to the old school built on the outside but the fresh modern feel on the inside... to be honest as a seasoned traveler Vila101 is one of my favourite Boutique Hotels that punches way above anything... absolutely love it

At night the sound coming from nearby restaurants was pretty audible from our room on the 3rd floor, but it did not go very late.

Hotel had free internet however it does not have a password protected line

There was some construction happening nearby, so it was a bit noisy during the day.
Well-appointed room. EVERYTHING Smells very fresh and clean. Loved the aromas in the lobby. Staff were warm and welcoming.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Tirane Albaina at Boutique Hotel Vila101, an old historic building recently renovated to a very high standard. The rooms were bright, clean and very comfortable – and our host went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating, thanks! The location is also great, very central and close within walking distance to lots of must see attractions. Highly recommended.

There is a restaurant next to the building and there was food smell in the bathroom in the morning. Water was leaking under the shower door to bathroom if you are not careful while you are taking shower and it was narrow. A towel hang would be good on the wall next to the sink and a kettle in the room. But overall it was a very good stay. There are a lot of cheaper apartmants near center but I truly recommend this hotel for women who travel solo to feel safe.
It’s location is perfect. It was very clean, furnitures were new and bed was very comfortable. Room was wide. Mr. Chris at the reception was kind and helpful. The building was very nice also, I belive a historic one. It is a very cute and nice boutique hotel. There are many restaurants and markets, souvenire shops also a baazar just a step further. You can reach the main squire in few minutes by walk and all sightseeing areas in Tiran.
