Very helpful hostel who organises everything for you if you want them to. Can rent bikes there too, book all your transport and store your bag while hiking, even if not staying another night at the end. Very busy and social hostel.

The staff were very helpful. We were able to store our luggage for free whilst we went walking for a few days. We hired bikes cheaply and cycled to the lake. The room was comfortable.

As perfect as it was five years ago. We were the oldest guests there ha ha (a bit over 40) but we felt good and had some nice talks with people from different countries. Great music, free rakija and a karaoke + free traditional dinner night (we were lucky). Fantastic atmosphere especially for young people . All in the center of Shkoder. And if you need help or advice regarding further traveling around Albania , they will help you :) Moreover, you can do the laundry, rent bikes , store luggage etc Fantastic place!

The hostel is at a busy night life street, and you will hear it. Music stopped at 12.00.

Fantastic vibe, with a cozy garden where all the guests can mingle, relax or play some games. Full kitchen for everyone's use, and an in-house bar with plenty of choice. Amazing place for a group of friends or alone!

Amazing social atmosphere but run as an extremely professional and competent operation. The dorm rooms are in separate buildings (nearby) which meant that noise from the hostel ‘party’ area was never an issue. Amazingly helpful staff who were all very passionate about their job.

The hostel was our first in Albania, and we had a great time! Perfect hostel for a good social time, we came well in time for the hostel's karioke night at the bar, which was super fun. The room was comfortable and met all of our needs.

The Wanderer's is exactly what a hostel should be. The staff go out of their way to introduce you to the town. They sat us down and gave us a map and talked us through the local restaurants and sights. They organised our hike from Valbona to Theth without any issues and we had a very relaxed experience. You can rent bikes at the hostel too. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There are activities every night and lots of opportunity to meet people. Breakfast, dinner and free raki are available daily and are delicious. Can highly recommend for a fantastic stay!

The staff are incredibly friendly and will help you plan your stay so you can make the most of your time in Albania. They can arrange a trip to the mountains (they'll store your luggage for free while you're gone) or plan a fun day around Shkodër. Breakfast and dinner are provided every day in the cozy courtyard, and there are often evening events planned. This is definitely the best hostel I've been to, and I highly recommend it!

Amazing stay at this hostel! Accommodation was more than big enough for 7 of us, clean and comfortable. The bar makes great drinks, very cheap, and the free raki certainly made for an entertaining evening. The hostel workers spoke good English with plenty of information. Very welcoming overall. The breakfast was also tasty in the morning. We had lots of fun and would highly recommend this hostel!! 10/10

The warmest and most friendly staff at the wanderers. We stayed an additional night in shkoder than originally planned with no issues from the hostel. We didn’t get to do the valbone to Theth hike bc of the season so April not really ideal for that.

Not the end of the world, as long as you've prepared for your trip/stay, you will be fine: - The pull-down blinds in the room were broken and noise travels - take good eye masks and ear plugs. - Reception was supposed to be open from 5:30 and breakfast at 6:00 on the morning we were due to travel to Valbona but the keycards wouldn't work and staff were unavailable until we called them via phone. Had to wait for doors to be opened and breakfast to be set, which made it quite rushed (especially for those of us who wanted to use our private bathrooms before completely checking out). This doesn't seem to be a common issue and they're fine with you grabbing a few breakfast bits to take on the journey.

Stayed here for a night before heading to Valbona: - We had a private room booked, which was quite literally a stone's throw away from the main communal area. It seems they have a few buildings scattered around locally. - Staff introduced us to various sights in Shkoder and explained how travel for the Valbona-Theth hike would work; you take a bus/small coach to Lake Komani, where you board a ferry to Fierza. From there, you get another bus/small coach that takes you to your Valbona guesthouse. It costs €26 per person for the trip, and possibly a bit more if Wanderer's book your guesthouse for you (we booked our own closer to the start of the trail). - The room was clean and had plenty of space for two people (could have fit four max), and were provided basic towels and bedding. - There was a free dinner offered which was made my a staff member (I think), very nice touch. - Held our luggage (unlocked room as others have mentioned) while we hiked in the north, and then warmly welcomed us back when we went to pick up. - We didn't use a lot of the facilities but it's like they'd thought of everything: access to a kitchen, free pasta/rice/coffee/tea, washing machine and dryer (payment taken), bikes for hire etc.
