Fabulous food and idyllic setting. Hosts were super friendly and responsive. The room was immaculate and modern. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in rural Gjirocaster especially the locally sourced and home made food.

Everything. There is nothing you can ask more, so peaceful. The warm welcome, food, everything was great. The owner couple are so nice. This place was fully booked when I first found it. I checked the availability everyday hoping someone would cancel for two months. My expectation was high yet it was beyond my expectation. You can truly relax here. It's just a tiny touch but ice cold water inside the fridge was very nice too as it was 40C outside.

Amazing location and food! Beautiful surroundings and rooms. The host couple were so friendly and pleasant! The chickens, cats and dogs were adorable. A wonderful stay, I cannot recommend it enough. I wished we had stayed more nights.

Delicius homemade cooking. Charming garden restaurant with a scenic backdrop. A very close drive from the Gjirocaster oldtown. A truly magic atmosphere with a lush garden, filled with flowers, grapevines and cute chickens walking about.

Everything was wonderful.

We had a fantastic stay at The Barrels Ms. It was nice to stay out of Girokaster and be a bit more relaxed. It was also a beautiful location with fantastic food and wine. The room was very modern, air con and great shower. The staff were so welcoming and work so hard to make this place so special, I cannot thank them enough. Visiting here was a real highlight on our trip to Albania, to unwind and spend quiet family time in beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend staying here for your trip.

This small country-side hotel is family run and operated. There are 4 rooms, with a restaurant right next door as well, where the included breakfast was served. The views from the rooms of the mountains and farmland were so relaxing to have and wake up to. Our large group of 14 rented all the rooms, and the staff was always available to answer and questions and make our stay better. Free parking was a great perk. The hotel is a short 10 minute drive into Gjirokaster town.

Really lovely location and very nice couple - Ada and Marcel - who took really good care of us. Gave us great tips on exploring Gjirokaster and surrounding areas for day trips. The vineyard location is just outside the main city and offers stunning views of the sky at night. Very quiet and comfortable. If you want to live away from the city and yet just a 10 mins drive, definitely stay at Barrels MS.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Everything was spotlessly clean and felt brand new. The outdoor areas are beautifully designed – such a peaceful and charming place to relax. There's also a restaurant on-site where you can enjoy delicious food right under grapevines and fruit trees, which made for a really special atmosphere. The red wine was excellent too! On top of all that, the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy and authentic experience.

Nothing, it was all good.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is absolutely beautiful, and it was so nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Girokaster and to have such easy parking. It was also gorgeous to be able to have dinner and breakfast sitting amongst the vines. However, above all, it was the owner who made our stay special, he was so friendly and welcoming.

Wouldn’t say it was a bad thing for us, but be aware that this place is a little outside of Gjirokaster. You need a car to visit the old town

Very friendly owner that made us feel very welcome. Although the rooms aren’t their ‘main business’, since they also have a vineyard and restaurant, the rooms were very modern, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to stay here, but for sure also have a late lunch or dinner! The food is also very nice. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, between the wine racks and animals, go to The Barrels!

Everything! Incredible location and meal setting. Stunning food, the lamb was fabulous. The cats and chickens, beautiful breakfast, lovely owners and a beautiful clean and comfortable room. Also the 2 bottles of wine we bought from the room were exceptional, both the red and white.
