Rooftop, ie. in the attic, which means a lot of stairs to climb in an old residential building. Relatively far from the bus terminal, around 15 to 20 minutes on foot, but close to Lake Ohrid.

Clean room with view to Lake Ohrid through a small window. The dad of the owner speaks only Albanian, but he was in general kind and helpful. The communication with the owner himself via WhatsApp was efficient. Got some recommendations from him on what to do and where to eat.

Very nice host, clean room nice view over the lake, good bathroom fine beds. Near the lake and 10 minutes walk to center of the boulevard. Enough space to park your car, free! No Airconditioning, but was no problem, with the windows open it was pretty cool enough, also when the day temperature 30 celsius was.

Just a bit of easier explanation how to arrive and meet the owner upon reservingthe room and perhaps a fan

Although it was a bit of a challenge to find the entrance...(back side of apartment block and the middle entrance out of three), a neighbor helped me find Eri the owner who quickly took me up to the penthouse apartment. It is quite a spacious space and enjoyed being in the local neighborhood. There was a clean bathroom and two different rooms one with two twin beds and a main bedroom with a queen sized bed and TV. The only thing I wished for was a fan in the room as well as some way of keeping the windows open without the fear of them slamming shut due to the breeze. (I already communicated that to the owner fwiw) Lots of good food options very local on the street parallel and south of the lake street.

There is no kitchen, but I don't quite understand why the hosts refuse to provide at least a plate, knife and boiler for hot water, tea/coffee. That's a bit inconvenient if you are staying longer, unless you plan to spend your time in cafés and restaurants.

The apartment is clean and has good Wifi. The view from one of the windows is really nice.

Heating at this time of the year could be helpful, but it wasn't too cold inside.

Not recommended for tall people, the ceilings are very low. It's an attic apartment. A lot of useless decorations, I would say less is more. Instead get some glasses and mugs, things you actually need. It's advertised as a whole apartment but there is no kitchen, only a fridge. A water kettle would not be too much luxury, always nice to have a cup of tea in the evening. There is no sign, I had to ask the restaurant across the street, they were very helpfull and called someone.
