How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We absolutely loved our stay! 🌟 Everything was just perfect — the apartment was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. It was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made us feel right at home. The location was great, and the atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. A special thank you to Albina — she was so kind, helpful, and welcoming from the very beginning. We really appreciated her support and warm attitude throughout our stay. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone!

The room was very clean, the staff was very nice and friendly. The beach is very close so we didn't need to use our car and also the hotel was so quiet. I would be very happy to come back again and also will recommend it to my friends and family. Grate job to the owners 👏🥰🥰

Short walk to the beach, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful! We could ask for anything and they would try to help. Room was very cute and clean! Nice balcony, had everything you need.

You have to wait a long time for hot water in the shower
I recommend. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with large, comfortable beds that ensure a great night's sleep. The room was very clean, the kitchen was equipped with all necessary appliances. although the hotel is on the main road, it was quiet and there was no noise from cars. The distance from the center is a few minutes' walk, and the beach is even closer.

Kitchen (we were shocked by electicity when the floor was wet, dirty dishes)

We found the property to be nice, cozy, and clean. However, we did encounter some bugs on the last day. Despite this minor issue, everything else about your stay was fine,.
I appreciated the property for several reasons, particularly the staff, who were not only nice but also very helpful. Their assistance made our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. The overall friendliness and willingness to help from the staff left a positive impression on us.

There was only a tiny coffee pan in the flat, could do with a frying pan and saucepan!
Friendly welcome, good location for price close to the beach. The room had a fridge and a ring to heat food.

Great location and value for money for a low budget trip. The accommodation is a walking distance to the beach, close to the ATMs, shops, beach bars and restaurants. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and attentive staff made the stay at Hotel Shark a memorable one. The rooms were spotless and the hotel is situated in a perfect location for a relaxed Albanian get away.

It was amazing, we felt great. The rooms are beyond expectations, they are cleaned daily and towels and linen are changed. The hotel is managed by a wonderful young man who really works for his dream. Congratulations!

Mold smell
It’s very clean and it’s on the entrance of kasmil, there’s supermarket beside they gave us privacy. The staff cleaned the room everyday. It was very basic, clean and private.

When you enter it seems all great, but the room is dirty and not looked after, the air conditioner is blowing straight on your head and which mean you can use it, if you try to open the window you can’t sleep because it’s very noisy all night long. The shower is very old fashioned without any curtains or shower box, all the water goes everywhere and you stay in the dirt for a while, drying it with the towels, very uncomfortable with small kids.
The position is good because it’s close to the beach, but the noise of the street is very disturbing…the staff were friendly.

Not very clean in the room. Cleaning is not in time as owners don’t have the second key from room. Many things in the room don’t work and not possible to fix it. Staff isn’t involved and not carrying so much about guests (all days almost didn’t meet owners).
Very good location. So close to the nice beach and other shops, restaurants. Staff helpful if ask smth.

The Hotel Shark is an apartment hotel with very little service. It should be stated in Booking, that actually is not a 'hotel'. Moreover, it should be clearly stated that they accept only cash.
