Beautiful, spacious room with an exceptional view

Staff were welcoming and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The outdoor deck overlooking the town offered amazing views at sunrise and sunset. Would definitely recommend.

The location from the old town is up a VERY steep hill. Cobblestones are slippery and very uneven. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone who isn’t mobile and active, especially in the heat of summer.

Perfect location, up a very steep hill but worth it for the views and its proximity to the vibrant town. Beautiful swimming pool. Simple terrace in terms of decor but unbeatable views over the area with well priced drinks and a sunset view to die for. The room was spacious, aircon very efficient and bathroom clean and modern.

The facilities were a bit basic and I expected a little bit more from the price paid but overall we really enjoyed the stay.

Superb location, close to the castle and a short stroll into the bazaar with its amazing array of restaurants, cafes and bars. The pool was an added bonus and was wonderful. Breakfast included a lovely selection of local produce and nice coffee which we took on the terrace with its stunning views over the town. The staff were so friendly and helpful too. We even took a free walking tour which I highly recommend. Overall a really comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel.

Maybe having drinks available later in the evening to take advantage of the terrace otherwise nothing - it was perfect!

The pool and the location with views were amazing. We loved that the hotel was an old beautiful building. It was very peaceful at the hotel.

The smell in the bathroom was not always good.

Great location

Everything was perfect here! Fabulous views overlooking the town towards the mountains, all staff went above and beyond all the time, room was enormous, everything spotlessly clean, and a great pool which we used most days. We read beforehand that Gjirokaster is very steep, and the Rose Garden is pretty much at the top. It is definitely steep and you're doing it several times a day if going out and about. But stick with it!! It gets easier. The charm of this quiet and beautiful hotel makes it worthwhile. Plus there's a cheeky cut through to the castle!!

Lovely stay at this hotel. The location near the castle is excellent. The breakfast (especially the eggs and espresso drinks) very good. Beautiful view and a nice pool for relaxing. Service was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view and lovely pool

Best location in gjirokaster. At the foot of the castle and next to the village. And the bonus of having a pool in the hot summer was amazing!! Would highly recommend!

Lovely pool and really well located for the castle and bazaar. The hotel has lots of character with beautiful carved ceilings. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with good views from the windows. Shower water pressure was great and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with a good range of food. Staff were really helpful and one of them kindly created a mocktail especially for me when we had a drink by the pool! Good coffee with breakfast. They really kindly let us leave our car in their car park on the day we checked out whilst we spent the day exploring the town.

Minor points but - unfinished looking pipe ends sticking out in the bathroom. We also had several flies in the room despite it being air-conditioned and we didn’t open the windows. The instructions sent to get to the hotel didn’t work very well as seemed to direct us up a street with a no entry sign but google maps got us there! It is up steep and narrow cobbled streets and we wished the car rental company hadn’t kindly upgraded us to a larger hire car!! However overall we really enjoyed our short stay.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with incredible views, delicious breakfast included and lovely pool.

We loved everything, a very professional and friendly team run and manage Rose Garden hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Couldn’t be closer to the castle and the bazaar. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
