Facilities could be better. The pontoon is really nice but many of the sun beds were broken and needed replacing. Bathroom is a bit dingy but does the job.

The views and organisation of the team at Riverside Komani are efficient and they are able to organise buses from Shkoder to the accomodation. The staff are kind and always up for a joke and a chat

The hotel sits in an incredible location, remote from everything else, so if you are looking for a peaceful stay, it might be the perfect spot. Since this place is ultimately isolated, and the only means of transportation is a boat, you kinda rely on the staff. Luckily, they happen to be helpful as well.

Incredible stay at Riverside Komani. The views speak for themself. We found all the staff to be hospitable and lovely. The services they offer to arrive at the accommodation and to Lumi Shales are fantastic.

The most gorgeous location on the lake with stunning mountain views. Such a perfectly secluded location, with great transport up the Shala River. The owner family were unbelievably friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this accomodation enough!

The location was natural and beautiful it was unique and unspoiled. Food was lovely, staff were very helpful and worked hard. Rooms are cosy and comfortable bed was comfortable and the platform for sunbathing and the free boat to the river were lovely. Exceptional experience

It has a rustic charm that fits perfectly with being out in nature by the river, which really adds to the experience. For light sleepers, just be aware that sounds from other rooms or around the property can carry, so bringing earplugs might be a good idea—but it’s not a major issue

An incredible experience overall: delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff were all so kind and helpful. The surrounding nature is breathtaking, and the water is perfect for swimming. It was honestly one of the highlights of our trip through the Balkans! We only stayed for one night but made the most of it by arriving early and leaving late. If you have the chance, I’d highly recommend booking more than one night.

Absolutely unreal location - so quiet and peaceful. The food was really good and reasonably priced (the included breakfast is very tasty), some lovely swimming spots and loungers to chill on. Easy to get a boat to Shala River and explore there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, would recommend people to stay here rather than stay at Shala River if you are looking for somewhere more peaceful and less touristy.

The food options were very limited, if you stay for 2 nights like us you end up with not a lot of options to eat at noon and evening. Especially if you din’t want to be eating fries 4 times in a row.

It’s a wonderfull place to stay ! The location is just stunning and we liked it even better then the trip to Shalla River. They have a nice pond on which you can relax and the water here is warmer then at the river. Staff was very kind and helping.

Our stay at Komani Riverside was truly unforgettable! The experience feels completely unique, like stepping into a fairytale. The views are absolutely perfect—breathtaking and serene. Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a magical and relaxing escape!

There is an additional €25 per person cost to ferry from Koman to the accommodation that is not advertised. The ferry timings are a bit challenging but there are no other options given how remote the lodge is. You can also only pay in cash but they do accept euro or LEK.

Amazing location on the river with a free shuttle to Lumi I Shales! The perfect place to relax before or after hiking. The food was simple but delicious and affordable. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English, Mark was very communicative over WhatsApp ensuring we knew how to arrive on time. He organised transport from shkoder to the accommodation. The rooms were basic and clean, shared showers had decent pressure and shampoo. There is drinking water available for free.

Lovely stay. Would recommend the private room with own bathroom. The one with the view without a bathroom is quite costly and the view is the best from the restaurant anyway.

The value for money for the deluxe room isn’t great, you still have to share a bathroom for the big price and the view is equally as good from the dorm rooms.

The location and staff here are spectacular. They organise boat trips to the Shala River and also it is a great place to relax and unwind.

This place was spectacular. All meals are served out on the terrace with a view of the lake. Canoes are available. Swimming. And chilling on the pontoon. Short boat ride to Shala River. We also stayed at Shala River the next night, but I recommend staying at Riverside. Much nicer.

Wow is all I have to say. The location is breathtaking, the staff are outstanding the room was exceptional. If you do one thing in Albania it’s to stay at least 2 nights here! So so beautiful and the food is amazing. Such an amazing time here
