How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very nice and clean. The family hosting the place is very friendly they also gave us croissants for our trip. Near the beach 10 mins walk, we enjoyed a lot.

had a wonderful stay at Rest House Vlorë! The location is perfect—close to the beach and just a short drive from the city center. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. I especially appreciated the peaceful environment and the beautiful view from the balcony. It felt like a perfect escape from the busy city life. If you're visiting Vlorë and looking for a relaxing and affordable place to stay, I highly recommend Rest House Vlorë. I would definitely come back again!

Our stay at the Rest House was perfect. Room was clean, stocked with a kettle, dishes, and strong AC. Location was close to the beach and many great restaurants. But the most amazing part of the stay was the hosts. The family that runs this property are so kind and hospitable. They brought us homemade breakfast in the morning, and even offered to drive us to the bus stop. Host was responsive and extremely helpful with all our questions. Check in was smooth and place was easy to find.

Great recommendation for everyone coming to Valona...excellent accommodation, with parking...the warm hospitality is due to Erwin who was a more than generous host (excellent English) with his Grandma and Grandpa who made our short stay safe and beautiful.

Very great place to say, lovely and helpful owners that even gave us a free breakfast of cheese and bread! They were so cheerful it really brightened the mood, they allowed us to park in their drive way behind the gate. Very spacious apartment, had a lovely big bathroom and very comfy beds.The air conditioning works really well, and the room/ bathroom was very clean. The entire building was beautiful and the balcony was a great addition. Would highly recommend!

It's in the old town, which is very residential, so it's a bit far for those looking for the centre, but it's accessible by car!
The room was very clean, the staff very welcoming and very attentive to our needs. They offered us food and shared a few conversations even if they didn't understand all the English for some. The room is less than 10 minutes walk from restaurants, shops and especially the beach. Recommend if you are looking for good value for money :)

Awesome place. We enjoyed our stay very much from the moment we entered the property. Amazing warm greeting, we felt very welcomed. Rooms are comfortable, clean, modern. I slept so good. excelent place, the family who ownesthe place its super nice, they where there to help me in anything i needed, ervin and his grandpa where amazing hosts. the place is really clean, nice location near ghe center of the city and an excellent price. i would stay again if i need.

Very nice room with all the comforts, the family was really welcoming and helpful. It was a pleasure to be with them. If we return to Vlore we will definitely stay there again. Special mention to the shower, one of the best of my life.

I won't go into details about the interior design - everything was perfect. I would like to say that we were welcomed with the greatest kindness and that next time me and my family will definitely stay at Rest House. Great place, Great People!

The owner was so nice and lovely! They are family who is so adorable. The house was super clean. Nice location to reach the beach. If you wanna go city center, you should walk a bit but It should be okay. When you have a problem, you can reach easy way (I didn’t have, but they asked me if I need any help)
