Aris on arrival greeting us with Raki and yummy Turkish delights and helped us with attractions prior to arrival communicating on what’s app informing us places to see. He also advised us where to eat and the history of this city. What made it more special for me was he spoke Greek coming from Australia it was good to speak the language. I got to meet his parents they were welcoming it felt like home. Everything worked in apartment we even had a lovely outside court yard. It’s beautiful place. Also Aris helped us find a car park near front of his home and with our bags.

Very kind host! When we arrived we drank some raki and he gave us tips about Gjirokaster and more of Albania. A really nice man who enjoys being a host. The room is cozy with a nice kitchen and beautiful garden to eat your breakfast. Overall a wonderful stay!

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect 😊

I can't praise this place enough. The host welcomed us into his home beautifully and shared the history and culture of the area. It was lovely to stay in a traditional home rather than a bland hotel. The room has been prepared with such care and attention to detail. It has plenty of space, a full kitchen, great air con and very comfortable bed. The location is perfect, on a charming cobbled street very close to the bazaar and castle. A short walk up the road and we were in the heart of the bazaar. We researched Gjirokaster before coming and thought we knew what to expect but it is soooo much better in reality. The architecture, the charm and the people blew us away. You will fall in love with the people here, their hospitality is incredible and you feel so welcomed by everyone. Gjirokaster stole our hearts, it has been a highlight of our trip and staying in this home was a big part of that. I only wish we had stayed here longer.

The location was perfect. The room had a nice balcony to relax on, a little refrigerator, the lighting was good. The family was very nice and helpful when our car would not stop.

The house and the apartment are beautiful, cozy, and very clean. The private courtyard is a lovely touch. Everything works perfectly- good wifi, hot water, oven. The area is quiet but and just a short walk to the bazaar and castle. The hosts are also so kind and helpful. My favourite place I’ve stayed in Albania!

No hot water both mornings of our stay (ok in the evening) but an engineer had been called to fix the issue so that wouldn't be a problem in future.

Great apartment with a good kitchen area and lovely private garden area. The location was good for our bus arrival and departure, being around 15 minutes walk away but before the hills get seriously steep. 10 minutes further walk up hill to the old town centre. We were met on arrival by Andrew who gave us raki and walnut Albanian delight and an interesting discussion about Albania. We enjoyed our stay.

We had such an incredible stay at this charming family house located in the heart of the old town. The house (and its terrace!) is full of authentic character, offering a truly unique experience. Aris was a fantastic host—friendly, generous, knowledgeable, and full of great advice for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!!

Great interior design and decor, super close to the main attractions, very cute courtyard, the host was amazing! He greeted us with a homemade raki and told us lots of interesting things about Albania and it's history, I'd definitely stay there again 😊

Absolutely nothing.

Really well located, just within the old town and short walk to the bazaar. The apartments were newly furnished but kept some of the amazing features of the original building. Good outdoor space to relax. Both brothers were incredibly welcoming, responsive and provided great recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here

Everything’s perfect

The place is wonderful and carefully renovated. The room where we stayed is beautiful with a wonderful garden. Arrakis and his mother have been very kind and have welcomed us very warmly. Hope to see them soon again!
