We booked the room last minute and were so glad we did! The location is great, close enough to the beach but far enough to escape the nightly loud music,and idillically located in a beautiful garden. Great surprise to see our balcony, with a view to the mountain and the garden. The room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts were kind and nice. Overall a great stay.

Loved our stay here! Its a very comfortable room with super helpful hosts in a great location. We had initially booked 3 nights, but extended it to 5 after how enjoyable our time was. The guest house is in a beautiful garden full of fruit trees. We were brought coffee and fresh fruit each morning. We even got a ride to the bus stop! The guest house is only a ~10 minute walk up a hill from the beach with good restaurant options nearby. The beaches in Dhermi were all fantastic too - even Drymades is a ~35 min walk so no problem without a car. Couldn't recommend this more!

The hospitaly was so good,if you have a question they will gladly help. If you want to visit dhermi this is the place to go. Falemenderit!!

Amazing stay in Penelope's rooms. The nicest family who makes you feel right at home. Even borrowed us towels for the beach and served us coffee for breakfast. Right between the beach and the bus stop which was very convenient for us to reach both quite easy. Beautiful house with a nice garden and view to the mountain. Comfy room with lots of space and everyting you need. Our best recommendations to stay here 😃

Absolutely nothing bad to say about Penelope’s Rooms.

We (a group of 4 female friends) loved staying at Penelope’s Rooms in Dhermi. As you can imagine, it wasn’t easy booking an accommodation with friends when all of us have different wishes and opinions. But when we found Penelope’s Rooms on Booking we all pretty much instantly agreed, and we were SO happy we did! This B&B is run by the most caring, loving and kind family of 4, who made our stay really special. From the instant we arrived (pretty late in the evening), we were met with open arms and we were taken care of like we were visiting our own family. we immediately felt like home, and I think that’s the most beautiful and valuable feeling you can have in another country. Thank you so much, Spiros, Dora, Penelope and the little one! We will forever hold you in our hearts!

We were greeted on arrival by our wonderful hosts and provided recommendations on parking, beaches, and anything else we asked (including addressing a minor medical issue). We woke up to coffee and breakfast every morning and our hosts managed the fire pit/grill on any night we requested, so that we could cook food over the fire. They even offered us some of their family's homemade wine. It was a wonderful experience and we felt right at home.

Very lovely, helpful and kind hosts! And a place with very peaceful and quiet surroundings. A little walk away from the beach, close to the nature. The owners were very kind and always available to help us during the whole stay. They gave us instructions on where to go. We felt very welcomed to their family and felt like we knew them. Their kids were very cute and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and bed very comfortable. The place is close to the beach and luckily it isn't located to the main roads where usually it is very noisy at night and during the day. It was quite relaxing to wake up in the nature and away from the chaotic beaches. Dora offered us some coffee and her special traditional foods every morning which was lovely to start the day with. Her husband, Spiros was very kind to offer us lifts to some places and offering us some historical background of the site. On our last day we opted for breakfast at their place. It was very tasty!! We do recommend it!! We will definitely go back to their place in the future if there'll be an occasion. Thank you again for everything!!! It has been a pleasure meeting you!

Spiro and his wife Dora made our stay unforgetable. The view of the valley and the city of Durres are beautiful. It is super quiet and a short walk or ride from both the old town and the beach. We will definitely return to Penelopes if we come back to Durres.

The place is a walk up the hill from the beach, around 15 minutes. It was fine for us but just good to know before hand if you have mobility issues.
