We had an exceptional stay. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the location was perfect and very pleasant. But what touched us the most was Haris’s incredible kindness – he truly made us feel at home. The service is of outstanding quality, far beyond what you usually find in a hotel. A warm and memorable experience that we highly recommend.

Wow the hostel is more like a hotel! Such a beautiful stay here we were not expecting the room to be so huge and beautiful. We had our own balcony and kitchen. Harris and his mother were so accommodating, we had to leave at 5:30am and they even still made us our breakfast! So lovely and such a beautiful stay highly recommended this place!

The hostel was a walkable distance to the city centre, it was clean and tidy. The manager Mr Harris was lovely. They were so helpful in arranging our transport and even packed each of us a nice little breakfast to go. We also got good recommendations - places to see, restaurants to eat, etc.

Zana and Haris were extremely kind people. They went above and beyond to help us with our next steps for our trip in Albania. The property was clean, comfortable and relatively new which made our stay enjoyable.

The hostel sign was not there. So I was confused. Also, the address in booking.com doesn‘t seem to match with the real address. But that didn’t bother me too much.

The North Star Hotel was perfect for our stay in Shkodër. The owner, Haris, was fantastic; very friendly, welcoming and was ready to help if we needed anything. The room was nicely appointed, very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast and coffee were fantastic and the service and hospitality were impeccable. Great location, too, we had a blast in Shkodër! We highly recommend the North Star Hotel!!!

The hotel is located close to the main streets, a walking distance away, but on a quiet street with lots of supermarkets and places to eat. The room we got was huge, big bed, big balcony, everything was clean and nice. The host is very welcoming and ready to help with whatever.

We stayed for one night in a private double room with an en-suite bathroom. The room was clean and functional, and the bathroom seemed recently renovated. The overall vibe of the hostel was relaxed and welcoming. A big plus was the host, Haris – he was friendly and really helpful, even arranging our trip to Valbona, including the pickup, at no extra charge - even though we stayed for only one night. The location is convenient: it’s about a 10-minute walk to the small city center of Shkodra, which has a couple of pedestrian shopping streets. There are also supermarkets and restaurants just around the corner. Thanks again, Haris – much appreciated!

Very helpful host who has sent us to great places to eat. Very clean room, the bed was large and comfy. From a service and price/quality point of view, this accommodation has exceeded our expectations. While it might be a hostel, it offers hotel standards! Considering day trips to Koman Lake, Shala River, Shkodra Lake or even Theth - this place serves as a great base.

Everything was perfect : the cleanliness, the breakfast, the rooms, the showers. The hostel is close to the center, a 10/15 minutes walk, which is very nice. The staff was wonderful, very kind and helpful : they gave me great recommendations for sightseeing, eating and activities. I highly recommend this hostel !

Highly recommend this place! The owner, Haris, is incredibly welcoming, helpful, and laid-back. He recommended some fantastic spots to eat and visit, and even helped arrange transportation straight from Hostel to Theth. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable — a great stay overall.

I had a great stay! Harrison is an excellent host who tries to fulfill all the wishes of his guests. I had a very large bed and plenty of space. Tap water was drinkable.

I thought Harris was an excellent host - very knowlegable and helpful, and as I was on a bike tour it was very helpful to have access to the (paid) washing machine. Also, rooms are huge!

Vena and Harris were wonderful - courteous, flexible, pleasant and professional at all times. Even more, they went out of their way to assist arranging transportation to/from the Theth/Valbone Traverse, allowed us to park our car in their premises, and were happy to support our decision to change our travel plans, even though it affected the number of days at the hotel. Nice, very big and clean hotel. It's 10 mins walking from the tourist area, so it's a quiet area and at the same time super close to the centre. And you can enjoy all the local and cheap cafés around and specially the tasty bakery just around the corner open until 10pm. The owner is very available and friendly and upgraded us to a better room the second night because a little missunderstanding with the type of room when we did the reservation. And he booked us another room with even better view when we came back from the mountains :)
