Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaI originally booked 3 nights and ended up staying 14 – that should already say it all. This hostel truly felt like home. Sergio and his amazing team – Rachele, Alica and Noa – made the experience unforgettable. There’s nature, warmth and comfort everywhere. Dinners are a highlight, and I’ll really miss the fresh juice at breakfast. Plus, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the best beach in Himara. Thank you so much – I’m leaving with this hostel in my heart ❤️❤️ Sips of rakia 🇦🇷🥂🇦🇱 Gezuar, Cheers and Salud

United KingdomI had a fantastic stay at Natural Hostel. It is a super friendly, relaxed place where you can meet other travellers and have a fantastic time. The homemade dinners and drinks are a great chance to share stories, often descending into karaoke and lots of laughs if you are interested! The food is great, the vibe is chilled, and Sergio is an all-around legend who will go out of his way to help you out. The volunteers were also extremely friendly. A 10/10, no doubt! I extended my stay as a result!

NetherlandsThis hostel is an absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, Sergio, the host, welcomes you like an old friend, instantly making you feel at home. His warmth, along with the wonderful volunteers, creates an atmosphere that’s vibrant and inviting. As soon as you step in, you’re greeted with a refreshing glass of homemade fruit juice—a perfect touch that sets the tone for the entire stay. This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a cozy dinner hostel where the food is nothing short of spectacular. You’ll need to let them know if you prefer vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes when you arrive, but trust me, every bite is delicious. The dorms are equally impressive, with comfy mattresses and spotless linens that make for a restful night. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, and Sergio’s insider tips will guide you to some of the most breathtaking beaches in the area. Each morning, you’re treated to a lovingly prepared breakfast that feels like a warm hug to start your day. As someone who often stays in hotels for work, I can say this place feels like a home away from home—far from the usual impersonal experience. I can’t recommend this hostel enough. It’s a haven of hospitality, great food, and genuine connection, thanks to Sergio’s incredible charm and care.

United StatesPerfect. Sergio is the best host I have met in Europe. He is very kind, fun, and generous. Even though his hostel was always packed, he always found a way to accommodate guests. All of the volunteers are just as amazing. The hostel has a great family vibe, especially because of the family dinner. You can find the best food in town at this hostel, Sergio is an artist in all ways of life. People come from all over to join his dinner.

AustraliaWelcome home - a warm hug is how I’d describe this hostel. Beautiful cooked dinners are shared daily where you can enjoy a delicious homemade meal with your new friends. I felt like a local of Himarë - a charming summer holiday hostel that you won’t want to leave ( I Came for 2 days and stayed for 4). The hosts are caring, facilities great (you’ll never want to shower indoors again), and the location is off the beaten path but only a short walk to beaches and everything you need.

AustraliaI’ve stayed in many hostels and luxury hotels over the years, but nothing compares to this one. It was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived, I felt something special that makes this place more than just a bed for the night. After being stuck in traffic in the middle of nowhere in Albania, we didn’t arrive until 1 a.m. The host was still up waiting for us and, without us even asking, made us food — just because he could see how tired and hungry we were. That simple act said everything. Like many others, I had read the reviews talking about how amazing the host is. I didn’t quite get the hype until I met him. Now I completely understand. The warmth, energy, and care he brings to every interaction make this place feel like a home away from home. He doesn’t just run a hostel, he creates a community. Everything about my stay was perfect. the vibe, the people, the atmosphere. I made real connections, unforgettable memories, and felt like I was part of something bigger than just travel. Every single person that stayed there I continue to message as we all became so close I will be back again and again. If you’re even slightly on the fence, just book it. If you don’t, you will unknowingly be missing out.

New ZealandWhile the property is basic that’s part of its charm and the vibes more than make up for it
This little gem is tucked away from the main road heading into town, within walking distance of potam beach and Filikuri. I liked being a bit away from things in a relaxing atmosphere. There are multiple cosy places to relax on the property. The vibe here is awesome. Sergio prepares a beautiful dinner every night like a family dinner where guests meet and friendships begin. My routine here consisted of family dinners, making new friends, exploring new beaches everyday with said new friends, rinsing off and repeat with occasional kareoke and raki involved. The volunteers were so lovely- vicci, Ana and Tara. I loved it so much here I stayed for 9 days and didn’t want to leave!! Natural hostel will always have a special place in my heart
