How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We stayed at Mia Marine for just one night and it was the perfect experience. From the warm welcome at check-in to the comfortable and modern room, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful, with stunning sea views that make the short stay feel like a real escape. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and the linens of great quality. Even though we only stayed for a day, we truly felt relaxed and well taken care of. Excellent value for money, highly recommended for both short and longer stays. We’ll definitely return!

Everything was great, only small issue is if sitting on varander and someone is still in the room with aircon on, the aircon machine is on the varander floor and blows warm air on you. Not a big issue just turn aircon off, but would have been better if machine was on wall high up instead of taking up space on varader.
Ideal location, close to lots of bars and restaurants room was small but comfortable and clean. Lovely pillows and bedding and nice veranda. would definitely stay again.

It was a little bit difficult to find and get into the room - thankfully the owners were easily reachable and helped immediately.
It is close to the beach and quiet. I felt very welcome in the room. There was also a hanging chair on the balcony. Owners were very responsive and helpful via whatsapp

I recently stayed at Mia Marine in Himarë, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a relaxed accommodation, good-looking view from the seaside, a comfortable bed, the room was new and had perfect bedding linen, everything was good. We had a very wonderful time at the balcony by night as it was so quiet the area around has many trees and green areas.The owners and staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, offering tips on where to eat, arranging taxis, and even surprising us with complimentary fruit and wine one evening. It felt more like staying with friends than being at a hotel.

Cozy and comfortable room. Mia Marine Rooms was wonderful - spotlessly clean with everything we needed, and in an amazing location right. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Amazing location, near everything: the main promenade,beaches,restaurants, harbour,s etc. near to the Port and amazing view sun and beach. I'd highly recommend and will definitely book it again if we visit Himara in the future.

Lack of a designated parking. However, there are alternatives closeby, public and private parking.
It is a new building, nice looking and well located. The interiour is new and modern, very clean and suitable for a small family. The beds are comfortable and noise insulation makes the stay an ejoyable leisure.

The building was still being finished so there were workmen in during our stay putting flooring in downstairs. We didn’t have access to the lift so had to carry luggage up the stairs.
Lovely modern room, very clean and everything was brand new. Will be absolutely fantastic when the building work is completed. Location is very close to the sea, but not the best view from the balcony.

Nothing was very happy with everything.
The room was beautifully designed and it had a lovely balcony view and had all the amenities you need. We were welcomed when we checked in and provided a key for the lift as I had my 5 month old with me & a pushchair. Walking distance to the beach and promenade where lots of restaurants and coffee places can be found. The owners were amazing, I forgot something of my baby and the owners brought it to me in the city no questions asked. I was impressed with their communication throughout our stay. I would stay here again 100%.

The code to enter the room wasn't working but the host helped us quickly from a distance.

The rooms were extremely clean, the staff were very quick to message and checked everything was OK. Brilliant location, 2 mins to the beach and restaurants. Would highly recommend and would certainly book again. WIFI strong and TV had all streaming sites. 100% book this if looking.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I would definitely come back, Mia Marine Rooms are very comfortable, extremely good bedding. The host was very helpfull, checkin was with access codes very modern.3 minutes near promenade and the rooms was spacious with sea view. Lots of love from 🇸🇪 Sweden. Vi ses 🤗
