Terrific family owned accomodation. Beautiful renovation and with nice modern comforts including wifi and AC. The location is right in the center of town and easy walking to all the parts of Berat you want to visit including the castle. Breakfast was on the terrace overlooking town and view of the castle. Nicely done. Family was welcoming and helpful. I stayed for 3 nights. There is a tour office just next to the hotel doing day trips as well. I recommend day trip to Osum Canyon and region if you have the time. I highly recommend Master Hotel.

Honestly, there is nothing we didn’t like

Traditional breakfast - a bit of an experiment for us, but good. Yoghurt, Burel, egg, cheese and cucumber. Parking is close by, but check first if you have a very big vehicle. Location was very central. Great balcony looking over the old town up to the castle. Our host could not have been more helpful. Thank you!

I think my cat got a chip on it on the back from the staff when they took it…. Communication was hard they did not have change initially for me for the cash and I had to wait for the right change they wanted to round up the amount There is a minerat right outside the room which was not a problem it didn’t go off in the early morning but if you are taking a nap in the middle of the day it could be a problem

Simply beautiful accommodation which is very well located for exploring the old town of Berat. The hotel is so lovely inside with wooden features carved by the father who is a master craftsman (hence the hotel’s name). The owners are friendly and very attentive to all needs. Breakfast was an amazing traditional fare out on the balcony. Thank you for an exceptional experience in Berat!

Location was very central, just opposite of the pasha gate. Nice view to the old city from the balcony where you have breakfast. The owner was very helpful and he reserved a parking spot for us, as they are very difficult to find.

Perfect location in Berat old town. Parking outside the hotel. Beautiful views to Goric quarter and over village. Clean, comfortable room. Amazing hospitality. Incredible breakfasts each day on the balcony. Such a treat - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did the Osum Canynon day trip swimming tour with Berat Tours - fabulous experience. Loved our time in Berat made special by our choice of location and friendly service.

The best and friendliest staff i met on our trip. location is prima, awesome little details in the room like long ledge running along room acts like a nightstand the to put your phones, water bottle; or fridge hidden inside the cupboard. healthy and tasty breakfast.

Location was just perfect. The room was spacious and furnished both modern and traditional too. Everything was clean and the most important, the staff is very very kind and always helpful with everything you need. Breakfast was served in the terrace with a stunning view. We stayed our second time and we were totally happy. Everyone working there is so nice, breakfast is great and has the perfect view. Parking outside is no issue either, assistance is given to get into the spot with no issues. The bed is very comfortable, the room has plenty of space and it's quiet. Also everything is nearby (castle, old quarter, main strip by the river, supermarket, café etc)

Great location right in the centre of town. The accomodation was great in all aspects. Klevi, our host, went out of his way to help us out with a medical issue, taking us to the hospital and acting as translator. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Highly recommend the Master Hotel.

Some hotels are just a place you sleep in during your travels, others become a part of your unforgettable travel experience. Master hotel made my stay in Berat really special and charming. I loved room design, and really enjoyed beautiful views from the terrace especially while having breakfast there. Breakfast itself was fresh and really tasty, which you don't experience everywhere in this region as I believe they don't usually eat breakfast. The host and the place itself gives such homely feeling that it made me want to return even before leaving. Lovely experience, hope to be back!

The sloping roof was a bit of a hazard for anyone more than 5’ tall! (We avoided this by putting something on the floor to stop us going into the danger zone!). The inward opening door in the small bathroom made it quite awkward but it was clean and did the job.

Very central, great location. This is a traditional Berat style new build family run hotel in one of the museum zones but very close to the town centre but surprisingly quiet (apart from the call to prayer). Great views up to the castle - breakfast on the front terrace was a treat and the breakfast itself was great - different on each morning. The family were lovely and very helpful. They were very accommodating in terms of our early arrival. The little balcony was very private and had good views of the Castle. It was one of the very few places where we have stayed (in Albania and elsewhere) that has room for two suitcases on the luggage stand and lots of hooks for clothes etc. Why do most hotels forget these rather basic requirements of travellers? Well done Master Hotel for bucking the trend and thinking of what your guests need :)

Amazing place located in the old city of Berat. The owner is such a lovely guy, willing to make you feel great at his property. The breakfast is delicious and served on the magnificent terrace, with a great view towards the city and its lovely architecture! I truly recommend this place!

No fault of the family or hotel, but bring earplugs because the mosque next door says prayers over the loud speaker at 5:45 am.

A very well built, immaculate hotel right in the center of old town. The family is very accommodating and kind, quick to give us recommendations and answer any questions. The hotel is right at the bottom of the hill to get to the castle. Breakfast on the patio was superb.
