How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewMy stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the rooms were fully equipped with everything needed for comfort and convenience. The food was delicious and exceeded expectations, offering both quality and variety. The highlight, however, was the staff – exceptionally kind, caring, and attentive, they created a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my visit. The hotel’s location was also ideal, making it easy to explore the area. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to others.

One of the main réceptionnist jnfortunately lacked professionalism while micro managing details that made things take longer and unwelcoming.

Verified reviewGreat location,great view, very clean and cosy. The staff were extremely helpful, especially the person in charge at the restaurant and bar area. They even kept the kitchen open for us when we arrived a little late for dinner — truly appreciated! The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly with one exception who didn't match the vibe of the rest but in the end managed to solve our issue with help from the other staff.

What really stood out, though, was the guest experience team — they’re simply top notch. Always helpful, quick to respond, and in great spirits, they made us feel right at home. Verified reviewThe place was clean, the room had great lighting a very natural coloured wood which made it feel warm and cozy. The breakfast was great as the view in the yard was amazing and there were plenty of options. The elevators were great as well since they were very fast.
Minor thing is that the hotel is at the top of the hill so you have to climb a bit, but there are green spaces all around you so it's still worthwhile. Another small thing is that I booked a twin room but they gave me a double one, and they didn't give me a clear reason as to why it didn't have two separate beds, twin rooms always have separate beds so I didn't understand why this confusion happened. I did request another cover for the bed which was provided so it wasn't much of a problem in the end.

Verified reviewA beautiful, brand new hotel with a friendly and welcoming staff. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of choices. Our sea-view room was lovely, offering a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset. The pool area is also very nice and well-maintained.
The only downsides were that the spa was not yet open and the "private beach" was disappointing. It consists of sunbeds on rocks, and getting into the water is difficult and a bit dangerous due to the pavement and rocky entry. Additionally, the hotel's entrance is located on a hill, so be prepared for a bit of a walk up stairs or a slight detour to get in.

Verified reviewI would like to thank all the hotel staff, the reception, the restaurant and all the crew were very friendly and responded to requests quickly. I would like to thank the manager Silva and the reception, the girls were cheerful and welcomed everyone and responded quickly. I would like to thank Anisa and her colleague. It is a beautiful and wonderful place, the sea view is amazing, the facilities are clean and close to the beach and the swimming pools overlooking it, and there are a group of restaurants and cafes near the hotel. Verified reviewWonderful stay – staff made all the difference! We loved our stay at Hotel Magnus. The location and facilities were great, but what truly made it special was the amazing staff. The team by the pool was always smiling, helpful, and attentive. They really made us feel relaxed and well cared for. The owner was incredibly kind and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the guests and take pride in their work. Clean, comfortable rooms and a beautiful setting. We’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended!
