How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Verified reviewWe liked everything about this hotel…. We had an absolutely amazing stay at Hotel Lula in Albania! The location couldn't be better — the beach is literally right in front of the hotel, and it's just a short walk to all the best restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and very well looked after. Every morning started with a delicious and generous breakfast, was served from scratch and by a very good cook, and the overall atmosphere was so welcoming. The staff were all wonderful, especially the young guy at reception (wish we could remember his name!) — he was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. A special thank you to Preto, the owner, who is one of the kindest and most genuine people we've met. He made us feel right at home from day one. We truly loved everything about our time at Hotel Lula and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended! Definitely deserves 5*s (We were the little family of 3) who took the selfies at the end of our stay 🥰

Verified reviewNice small hotel in a good location next to the beach plenty of other beaches nearby to explore within walking distance. Close to town for shops and restaurants. No lift in hotel which was fine for us but could be an issue for some. Rooms are new and clean plenty of storage for clothes big shower, rooms cleaned daily to a good standard. Breakfast it waitress service which was a nice change to buffet which is what most places do but you get more than enough food. Overall lovely stay spent 8 nights and very happy with time there in Ksamil,
Don’t have anything negative to say would have liked fresh orange juice at breakfast instead of juice drink but not a big deal. If I was to book again I’d pay the extra for a sea view, the balconies on the front look bigger also than our room which was on the side of the building.

To start with, let me state this is not a 3-star hotel. It is more of a guest house or bed and breakfast place. Additionally, I was frustrated that the hotel downgraded our room after the first night without a reasonable explanation. We didn't stay in the room we booked. I repeat that we didn't stay in the room we booked. They are luring people, as you can read in different reviews on Booking. When I inquired about the change, the receptionist simply stated it was “complicated,” which is unacceptable. I agreed to the room change under the assumption that all rooms were of similar quality. I would never have booked this hotel if I had known I would be placed in such an inferior room. The room is outdated, features a malfunctioning toilet, and the large wardrobe appears to be used for storage rather than functional purposes. For the price I paid, I could have easily chosen a different hotel that offers a much better experience. This situation has significantly spoiled my holiday. After this situation, the receptionist gave me and my friends the cold shoulder. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Save yourself from the stress and frustration.

Verified reviewThe view is so nice from our room. The breakfast was plenty! The location is just awesome. It’s close to everything. Comparing to other hotels, you get much more than what you pay for. We also forgot something in the room and they delivered to our new hotel super fast and free of charge. Service is top!!!

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was tasty, and the staff were very friendly and always ready to help. They exchanged money for us and even arranged a taxi to the Saranda port at 3 AM. The room, although small, was very cozy and comfortable. The location is also great — a supermarket is just 1 minute away, the beach is about 3 minutes on foot, and the town center is around a 15-minute walk. Everything was clean, organized, and handled professionally. Highly recommended!

-The breakfast has choices and if you are staying more than 4 days it will be boring. Why not an open buffet? -The guy at the reception (he is running the hotel I guess) has a terrible attitude towards the guests which I hated. We had two rooms and I was staying alone. My mum and dad were next door and I gave them a small towel (as I had 2 sets) and the next day the small towel was missing. That white small towel which you can’t bother to take. I paid €8 for that in check out. This is not the point but that guy was saying “we will close the business if everyone loses a towel” - believe me that stupid white towels are more valuable than guests in the hotel. I JUST SAY NEVER STAY HERE. There are very nice places in Hasan Tahsini street and ı was there in my first time and left with positive vibes. A small stupid white towel can sometimes spoil everything. I want to thank everyone except that owner guy. He should learn some hospitality before running a hotel. Everything doesn’t mean money!!!
