How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful property and location to the sea. Was given a sea view room. Think they are all sea view facing and decorated very well.
The staff are completely rude and ignorant. We were ignored when trying to order any food or drink at the beach club as it a was clear they put the albanins before any other nationality. It took almost an hour to get a drink ordered and then an agonising wait for our change as the resort only takes cash payments for food and drink.

Verified reviewNice and beautifully styled little Hotel (~12rooms) with great view and an amazing restaurant. Our room was pretty, the balcony door well sealed, so the noise stays outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. "Normal" sunbeds with umbrella in the beachclub are included, for the more fancy ones (Beach Beds) you'll need to pay a discounted rate as a hotelguest. We've stayed here for 4 nights and had great and relaxed experience.
The bathrooms in the hotelrooms could've been larger (we had two differents rooms, both bathrooms were tiny, after showering the toilet was always wet). The Beach Club and Restaurant are heavily frequented by Day Guests. Cool music all over the place, but it gets pretty loud in the evening, which was not an issue for us but could be unpleasant for others. Most beach club guests seem to come here to make photos for Social Media. The parking lot will be crowded everyday, they are tightly stacking cars and you'll have to leave your keys with the guards so they can move cars around. We found the city of Saranda itself with its beach not very attractive, but it's a good base for exploring the more beautiful beaches and attractions

Verified reviewBeautiful location and the staff was lovely! The noise was not an issue at all despite some reviews we’ve seen. Would definitely come back.
We had a small issue with our AC that was noticeable as soon as we entered our room, but the staff was very kind and fixed it once we let them know.

Verified reviewReceptionist was amazing and welcomed us so warmly. Our room was exceptional and better than expected. The location the sea the pool were great. Igli at the restaurant in the evening was exceptional and made us feel at home. He is an asset to the team. ledi at the pool area also stood out and was kind and attentive. Food at the restaurant was 10/10. We will be back anytime we visit the south of Albania.
The sunbeds are usually full when you first arrive so won’t get to use the facilities but the next day you can reserve and pay extra for more comfort

I am extremely disappointed to have to write this complaint regarding the unacceptable conduct of your restaurant manager during my recent stay on 08.08.2025 What I experienced was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful, and completely inappropriate for someone in a management position. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I approached the reception desk outside to ask about reserving a specific table. I was clearly told by staff that it was not possible to reserve a particular table, and that I should simply wait until one became available. I patiently waited, and once a table was free, I was seated and placed my order. Not long after, the restaurant manager came to my table and abruptly told me that I had to leave because the table was “reserved for later.” His tone was rude, dismissive, and entirely lacking in basic courtesy. He made no effort to listen to my explanation about what I had been told by his own staff moments earlier. His attitude made it clear that he had no interest in resolving the situation professionally, and he instead chose to humiliate a paying guest. This incident reflects a serious lack of coordination among your staff and, more importantly, a manager who fails to uphold even the most basic standards of hospitality. In my opinion, his behavior was arrogant, unwelcoming, and damaging to the hotel’s reputation. I have stayed at your hotel twice in the past and had always enjoyed my visits. However, due to this unpleasant encounter and the disgraceful behavior of the restaurant manager, I will not be returning again. I urge you to take this matter seriously, as no guest should be treated in such a manner in an establishment that claims to value customer service. I expect a written response explaining what actions will be taken to address this issue.

Verified reviewOur stay at Lost Seaside in Saranda was incredibly disappointing and far from the serene experience described on their website. The site promotes the hotel as a peaceful retreat where you can “drift off to sleep to the gentle sounds of the waves.” In reality, you’ll be kept awake until 3 a.m. by blaring club music coming from the hotel itself. It’s more of a day-and-night party venue than a hotel — something that was not made clear at all when booking. We booked for 4 nights, left after one night. Even with earplugs the noise was unbearable. The hotel functions as a beach club filled with external visitors during the day, and unfortunately, hotel guests are not a priority. We were only given access to 6 sunbeds by the pool, unless we wanted to pay extra for shaded spots, which felt unfair. Also, we had to wear a paper wristband for the entire stay — cheap and uncomfortable. Security told us we couldn’t bring in a. bottle of water we tried to bring in, despite the hotel only providing two small bottles per day in the room. Access to drinkable water shouldn’t be restricted or treated as a luxury. The website is incredibly misleading. There’s no mention of the late-night music or party atmosphere, and phrases like “serene” and “relaxing” are completely false. Even the step access to the ocean was broken and dangerous, as was the ladder on the ocean pontoon — a serious safety issue. Breakfast was poor, with no bowls for yogurt, no toaster, and no fresh fruit. While lunch at the restaurant was actually delicious, the waitstaff were uninterested and inattentive. On the positive side, the receptionist was kind and helpful, and the housekeepers were probably the nicest and most genuine people we encountered during the stay. Unless you’re visiting specifically to party and don’t care about sleep, comfort, or being treated well as a guest, I would not recommend Lost Seaside. It’s a misrepresented, overpriced, and

Verified reviewThis place was amazing we beautiful hotel, very clean an staff really friendly and helpful .
Everything was good, only thing I will say is to contact the hotel the day before checkin to reserve a free sunbed , we didn’t realise and the hotel was busy with no bed left when we arrived. Buts we were happy to chill on the comfy sofas until later in the day when people moved off , and we moved to a cabana bed for no charge .

Verified reviewBeautiful hotel by the seaside. Very nice rooms and pool area. Nice restaurant with a sea view and great food. Especially Ledi (Armando) was a top class waiter, being very attentive to any guest needs, in addition to being great at both wine and conversation. Also the other Ledi was very serviceminded and easy going and provided us with great poolside service.
The only down side with the hotel is the very loud techno music at the beach bar around the clock. Relaxing in the beach cabanas would have been better with softer music and the night disturbance for hotel guests should have been communicated more clear in advance by the hotel.

Verified reviewThe rooms are really nice.
Lost seaside is actually not a hotel, but a beach club with a few additional rooms. Hotel guests are not a priority at all. For all the fancy sun beds you see on the pictures, you have to pay extra (70€ per day!). So paying that much money only for a pretty room does not make sense at all. Just stay at a cheaper hotel and pay for a day pass to Lost Seaside. You get the same service.

Verified reviewAmazing hotel! Restaurant is amazing, the food was sensational at breakfast, lunch and dinner, fabulous chef. The pool and beach club were fantastic and our rooms were spacious and clean. Nice stroll down to central Saranda beach and other restaurants was convenient although we opted to eat mostly at the hotel when we weren’t doing day trips as the food was so great.
