How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewClose to the city center, self check-in was available, which was important as we arrived very late at night, it was nice to have the air conditioner and fridge.
Where do I begin. First, the self check-in instructions could’ve been a bit more clear as we at first didn’t understand the right entrance and that the elevator has to be started with the provided chip. Second, there were no forks in the kitchen and there was only one mug and glass for three people. When we asked for additional, the host said that they would bring more later but never showed up. Third, it was difficult to communicate with the staff at the bakery - we weren’t informed we could have two options for breakfast on the first day (got to know it from a different lady on the second day). Besides, we informed the host we would arrive very late at night right after making the booking. Yet, when we were late to replying to their whatsapp messages about the ETA on the day of arrival due to packing and everything, the host even said they would cancel our booking. Luckily, we managed to call back and clarify everything but still were very stressed about it. Fourth, the shower wasn’t isolated from the rest of the bathroom and the water didn’t run away for a long while after showering, the bathroom was slightly flodded. Plus, there was no toilet paper. Fifth, the staff member stormed in 15 min before the official check-out time without apologizing and started cleaning the room before we manage to take out things out.
You have to understand dear guest that when you don’t to messages on WhatsApp even if you have internet connection for hours, we could easily assume that you are not coming at all. You say you were busy with packing and we should be understanding but you are not understanding at all that some things may have not been available at the apartment since we assumed you are not coming and the apartment would not be hosted that night. The bakery staff knows English and other people had no issues so far. You are right the apartment is average, not luxury but it’s central and it has a very convenient price. No staff member enters the apartment before check out.

Verified reviewThe property is ok. But there is no parking and we need to look some other place for parking. I said when i checked i could see that parking is included and they charged me additional £10 for charging. There is no proper utensils in the property. No floor mat and any other basic facilities. The breakfast is just a basic one and i do-not recommend anyone to this property . It is quite difficult to reach the property as well.
Hello maybe you should read better what you book next time ( there is free parking in the area but not guaranteed ) and there is the option of paid parking in the building for 10 euros per night. Breakfast is by choice at the local bakery ( a lot of options ) but yes we dont serve sea food in the morning

Verified reviewNothing much to like , just got 2 toilets and 2 separate bedrooms.
It's not the same facilities & modern interior as showns in the pictures, its just felt like a below average apartment with lots of low quality furnitures. The fridge stinks, the microwave was a very old fashioned one and it was making a lot of noise while working. The whole apartment smells of smoke. . They didn't mentioned about the pay parking and there is no free parking. It is so hard to find a free parking around that area.Overall it was okay to sleep and freshen up for one night but not worth the money.
ah i thought since you live in UK you could read and speak english but wasnt your case maybe learn to read what you book.
