Beautiful house in a peaceful location close to the lake. The family are so lovely and friendly which really makes it. The food is excellent. Lovely lake swimming nearby and a few good hikes. Highly recommend.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

This was one of our favorite stays during our trip throughout Albania: the owners, Merita and Emri, are absolutely lovely - extremely kind and accommodating. Our room was pristine and beautiful, and the entire house itself is beautiful - well maintained and decorated with such a cozy vibe. You can hangout and eat on the terrace, with a lovely view of Lin and Lake Ochrid. Merita's cooking is divine, and the fish we ordered for dinner was one of our favorite meals in Albania. This place was perfect!

There is nothing we didn’t like

Everything! A beautiful cared for home, charming rooms and garden, the lake view terrace, the food and the two owners Merita and Emri are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They do everything they can to make their guests comfortable and happy. She is a great cook and I recommend to eat at least once dinner there. In hearing that I am a coeliac and can’t eat normal bread, she baked a corn bread for me - so nice and caring. This is one of the best places to stay in Albania for sure.

Stunning modern decor, spectacular views of Lake Ohrid, warm hospitality, delicious food, clean and comfortable. Having breakfast underneath the fig and apple trees was a highlight. Highly recommend House 1960!

Very nice people. We were booked for 3 nights but unfortunately due to family emergency we had to depart after first night so we didn’t get to enjoy it completely but liked what we saw.

We picked this place to be close to cross the border the next day. This is a recommendation for everyone who does this route. A beautiful house, renovated thoughtfully and spotlessly clean. The big bonus is the large roof terrace with amazing views where you can eat breakfast or dinner or just sit and relax. The room has a refrigerator and private parking is near. The hosts are so kind. Perfect place.

Very warm welcome from hosts. Great to chat to the other guests who will generally be well travelled and approachable. Everything was well maintained. You can dine at the guest house but please give a couple of hours notice as the food is all prepared freshly by hand (including the wine and rakia).

It was amazing - nothing negative to say.

I have given 10/10 reviews to other hotels but this one really is exceptional. The whole place was incredibly beautifully done - even lovelier in person than the great photos on Bookimg.com. It was a bit like living in a magazine article, except that the owners were really nice and genuine so it felt very down to earth and real world. The village is also delightful.

House 1960 has a lot of personal charm, nicely decorated, very clean, beautiful garden and veranda. Merita and Emri were delightful and made the extra effort to help us. Very nice.

Such a perfect stay in House 1960, Emerim und Merita made the stay unforgettable. They were very accommodating and kind - serving up amazing food in a beautiful house. It was a perfect stay in the quiet, charming village of Lin overlooking lake ohrid.

Such an authentic Albanian experience. Emerim and Merita were exceptional hosts. The room was comfortable and beautiful. Metita’s cooking was delicious and make sure you try her stuffed peppers. The location was perfect for a hike around the peninsula and up to the momentary ruins where we were able to see the mosaic. The out door roof terrace and room balcony were great for taking in the lake view while sipping Emerim’s wines. An extremely relaxing stay.

The home was warm, inviting, and exceptionally clean, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and clearly prepared with care. What truly made the experience special, though, was the time we spent with the hosts—they were gracious, engaging, and made us feel completely at ease even with a language barrier. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic Albanian hospitality, and we couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Staying at House 1960 was a highlight of our whole trip!

Blankets and sheets could use upgrading.

Right in the middle of Lin, a small fishing village on Lake Ohrid. Lin has a rocky peninsula offering tremendous views of the large lake on the Albanian-North Macedonian border. Quaint B&B with lovely owners, great breakfast and great third-floor terrace. Very quiet location (we slept well). Lin is like stepping back in time, with friendly residents who spend their days working in the fields and chatting on the streets (mostly older residents, with few cell phones in sight). It's not Disneyland but the real world: there's plenty of litter and many structures are in disrepair. Definitely worth a one-night visit (don't need two days to experience the town).

The accommodation is really beautiful, loved the interior design and flowers everywhere. We had also dinner (fish from the lake) and homemade wine, also recommend. The breakfast is also very good and you can have it on the terrace with a great view of the lake. We also rented a boat for an hour, it's an old boat but it was a nice experience.
