If you have animal allergies this might not be for you as they have many dogs and cats (both indoor and outdoor). But if you love animals then you would be in heaven. I would say most of the staff were super amazing but there was one who seemed like your presence was annoying and that they wanted to be anywhere but there, really strange for a hostel employee.

We loved this hostel. It is in such a great location but tucked slightly off the road for more privacy. It was easy to find, the room was great and quiet, and most of the staff were super friendly and lovely. The whole hostel is very homey and cozy with great shared spaces. Really a fantastic hostel. The staff are also so helpful and they offer all services you could want help with for the area.

Would be nice if the rooms had locks so only the people staying inside could come in! Would be an extra bit of security that I've had at other hostels.

Communication was sometimes a bit tricky since not all staff speak English well (specially in Wpp). The common areas, like the living room and garden, could be a bit more organized and tidy.

We stayed here for one night before starting our trip to the north of Albania. The staff were really helpful arranging our transportation from Shkodër to Valbonë — the ticket cost around €28 and included all transfers. The hostel has a cool, hippie, backpacker vibe and a lovely green garden with plants, a ping-pong table, and friendly dogs. There’s also an outdoor bar area where you can chill with a beer and meet other travelers. The location is excellent; the bus from Tirana dropped us just a 5-minute walk away. They also offer luggage storage for €2 per night, which was very convenient for leaving our big bags during the hike. Overall, the price is great for what you get, and it’s perfect if you’re a solo traveler looking to meet people and arranging your trip to the Albanian Alps.

It's a great hostel, there was nothing I didn't like.

The way all hostels should be. During my stay the place was busy but not crowded. The garden and terrace were perfect to spend some time in during the hot afternoons and they have a bar as well. The dorms inside the house have AC, which was great. They also had bicycles to rent, great for going to Lake Shkoder. Staff was very kind and helpfull.

The aircon was VERY appreciated but also very loud, so it was hard to sleep with it on but too hot with it off.

The staff are really friendly and helpful, the decoration is very cool and the history of the building is fascinating. They gave a great restaurant recommendation which helps women who have been in difficult situations which was delicious. Great central location.

The vibe… the large area in and around the house to chill and space out comfortably … the location was near everything you need. My bed was super comfy and the staff works hard to keep it clean

Only downside were the beds. They creaked each time anyone in the room moved, leading to a rather sleepless night.

I loved everything there but I was scared of the 2 dogs...they are super cute but they growl when you pass by so beware!!

Beautifully decorated hostel, super clean, very well located near the bus round about. They can arrange transport to Theth, which is very practical but make sure you get a bus ticket when you pay at reception as you will need to give it to the driver.

Nothing, we loved the place, its art and its story and are already recommending to friends

We only stayed one night to be able to get the bus to Valbona the next morning but would have loved to stay longer. The property was a little slice of heaven in the hot city of Shkoder, we were amazed to find a tortoise in the garden hanging out eating leaves while we had some beers in the hammock. The staff were friendly and helpful and great vibes all around with the other guests in the evening with the bar on site. We had a private room as a couple and a third friend stayed in the dorm, both good experiences and the private room with bathroom was surprisingly spacious. It was well located very close to the bus points for Valbona and you can buy tickets from the staff, who also can provide bag storage for 2e/day and recommend nearby parking for a few days. There is even a friendly tattooist based at the property who showed us some amazing work he has done.

Great location, close to everything and bus stop to go toward national parks. The staff was extremely attentive to everything and lovely with everyone. Beautiful rooms & garden decorated with taste. Merci to maintain such a lovely place in shkoder.

Great friendly hostel, very centrally located but on a nice quiet street. Near shops and bus connections. Big kitchen and lovely cosy shared areas. The room was good, and provided a towel :) A great place to stay before and after north hikes, the staff have the information to help you plan, you can hire hiking poles here and store bags cheaply.

The house itself has a lot of character. It is carefully styled, and the space had a refined yet cozy feel. There for plenty of room for mingling during the evening. The host was extremely friendly.
