The host is super kind and will do everything to make you feel at home. Besides that the location nearby the centre of Gjirokäster is very good and the view from the terrace with breakfast is amazing. Truely recommendation!

The room is not that big, but makes it cozy after all.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and very comfortable, with everything well-maintained. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the area. The hosts were extremely friendly and responsive, always ready to help with recommendations or any questions. Overall, a very pleasant experience - highly recommend this place for anyone visiting!

Everything was lovely. The host was very helpful, especially with finding the location, as the streets there are narrow. The view from the terrace during breakfast was spectacular, you could see the castle. The room was big enough and looked new and very clean. Breakfast was also great, with a wide variety of food and special care from the host. We highly recommend this place.

The view was amazing both from our room and the terrace. The hosts were super nice and helpful and gave us recommendations for our stay. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a lot of food both sweet savoury. Would 100% recommend

Authentic stay at the top of a mountain village. Super lovely host, amazing roof terrace and breakfast. Great for a one night stay.

Hosts are exceptionally warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to help you out. Exceptional location and everything is quite walkable from the property. The view is amazing as well.

Ledina and her Mother were just delightful, from the moment we met them, they gave us a warm welcome into their home, the views from their place are truly breathtaking and the breakfast was the best…. I didn’t realise when booking that we would be living in someone’s home, they only have 3 rooms to rent, yes the bathroom is very small but it’s all you need. They are extending. We wish you lots of luck and will definitely be returning.

There was nothing we didn’t like, the bedroom and bathroom was small, but adequate, it was immaculate and comfortable bed. The area is not for people who are unfit or disabled.

Himalayas was one of the most hospitable places I have ever stayed- as a guest, you really feel like you are being welcomed into someone’s home. Nothing was too much to ask and the breakfast was super delicious and extensive. The terrace that you eat the breakfast on has the most incredible view! Our room was very comfortable and had great aircon. The place was easy enough to find- we got lost once but that had nothing to do with the location, and had everything to do with trying to use Google Maps in some of Albanias smaller towns (not all roads are marked and some are single lane but not marked as such). It’s super easy to get there if you use the road below the castle and then turn up the cobbled street. I would definitely recommend this place as it is amazing value for money.

The bathroom was a little unconventional as the shower was located between the toilet and the sink, but this didn’t bother us at all.

Very welcoming owners - they treated us so nicely and they made sure we had everything we need. The rooms have an amazing view over Gjirokaster and the castle, it's lovely to sit outside on one of the balconies. Everything is reachable by foot: the castle, the city center, and the famous bridge. If you're staying in Gjirokaster, you won't regret staying at Himalayas! Oh, and the breakfast is delicious!

Location is at the top with mountain views. Cobbled street's, 10min walking to town via a tunnel that goes under the castle. Room was tidy, great breakfast & lovely welcoming host. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Superior service by Redina and her mother. They are soooo friendly. Rooms were nice and cozy, breakfast fantastic and varying every day. The view from the roof terrace is unique.

Beautiful view from the apt, breakfast on the rooftop terrace, Netflix/Youtube apps, close to the center, kind and helpful host.

A little bit tricky road to the apt, not for every driver (and do not follow Google Maps).

Redina was a wonderful host! Very caring and helpful with suggestions on best restaurants and how to walk to the castle and bazaar. Breakfast was amazing both mornings we stayed. So generous! Loved the welcome tea /coffee and cake. Stay here for the gorgeous roof top view and amazing service!

Best breakfast in the whole Albania! Thanks Redina for your kindness. The view to the mountain while having breakfast is something you'll never forget. We totally recommend this place to stay a couple of nights. It's also well located, 15min from the old Bazaar by walking. There's a traditional familiar restaurant a few steps from the place and we recommend trying it. Also the little dog next to the property will give you a lot of love. We could've stayed more time there.

Like most of the cities in Albania, the streets were destroyed and it can be frightened, just drive slowly and announce your arriving time.

Wonderful stay at a lovely guesthouse. The room has everything you need. The terrace has an amazing view across the valley to the mountains and across to the castle. It is wonderfully peaceful to sit up there and eat breakfast, which was also amazing. The family were so kind, hospitable and helpful. From homemade cake to reserving a bus and dropping me off at the bus stop. Highly recommended.
