- room (1) a bit small with our luggage but for a sightseeing trip its ok - you have to climb many stairs to get to the hotel (we knew it before but it can be a bit exhausting)

Nothing worth mentioning, but do keep in mind that you’ll have to carry your luggage up a steep hill with stairs to reach the hotel, so better repack and bring only what you need for this stay.

The terrace with views on the river and one side of the 1000 windows is amazing! You’ll want to sit here whenever you can. The room is decorated in a traditional style with superb eye for detail and although you step back in time in the room, it does have all modern comfort that you can wish for. Breakfast is super extensive (way too much actually, but all fresh and tasteful). Dinner is excellent! We don’t normally go to the same restaurant twice, but it was a real treat to eat here a couple of nights enjoying the Albanian kitchen. Free parking at the street. When you step out of the hotel you are in the heart of the old town with its 1000 windows. It’s a 20-minute walk up to the citadel and castle, but you can also take the car to the entrance gate. Friendly staff.

It appears to be a restaurant with a couple of rooms run to top things up. As such, staff can be a bit busy (when paying for instance).

The pictures on this site reflect the room. Lovely view from the balcony and a nice sizeable breakfast set us up for a walking tour and journey home. Air con worked fine (it was 38c).

Unless they fix their beds, I'm never going to stay or recommend this place. The mattress in room 1 was like you're sleeping in a valley. It caved so much in center. I'm only 69kg. If someone is heavier, the mattress would perform worse. The general cleanliness levels can also be improved. Towels were a bit crusty and had hairs on it.

The location albeit with stairs is very good and gives a good view. It's right in city, with parking. Where they shine is breakfast, location, views. Loved the spread, fruits, eggs, coffee etc.

Not a problem for us but you do need to climb up the hill to get to it so likely to be an issue if you have reduced mobility. A member of staff did also offer to carry our luggage down for us which was very kind.

Wonderful hotel with plenty of character, despite being in an old building the rooms were very clean. Decor was in keeping with the character of the building and charming. Wonderful view from the terrace and our balcony. Excellent breakfast included in the room rate. We didn’t stay for dinner but had a drink on the terrace - the house wine was great! Fantastic value for money and staff were excellent. There was also a place out the front reserved for our car.

Great location with a wonderful romantic little terrace overlooking the river and town. Beautiful ottoman rooms with balcony and a breakfast to die for! Add the super friendly staff and you get a top experience. Thx a lot guys, will definitely be back someday

Not a complaint or issue whatsoever but just to prepare for your arrival and departure you have to go up quite a lot of cobbled steps to reach it.
