How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hotel tricked us to pay in cash, no invoice provided and double charged trough the credit card. Scam under a legal property. The rooms were way smaller than the pictures, rude and non communicative staff, noisy and dirty rooms. The worst experience in my life by far.

Breakfast was not great and there was only an elevator no staircase (what if it breaks??)

While the elevator is used for daily comfort, the stairs are always accessible in case of need, including any unlikely technical issues. Verified reviewThe pool is a great part to relax for some hours after the beach closes at 6pm more than enough, but you have to be careful as restaurant is open underneath. Parking for Hotel Residents is available for free! Reception person helped us get a taxi to Sarandë and back!
Location is 5-10 walk from everything but 1 drawback is in the main road so many cars pass by. Breakfast can be better and some options for late breakfast if possible…

The manager was a bit rude when we informed him about having an issue with the aircon which was never solved as it was leaking and therefore we couldn’t use the balcony. Pictures are a bit misleading as some rooms are on the ground floor facing the backyard while better rooms in the same category are on the 1st floor and facing main swimming pool. Breakfast lack of variety and coffee pot takes long to make coffee, on top, if you ask for a proper coffee they charge you even though it should be included with the breakfast.

Spotlessly clean with everything need to meet assurances of five star luxury for three star prices. Special mention to the more mattered than the others of staff - very helpful; arranging taxi to port and advice on other matters.

Verified reviewThe staff is very friendly and the breakfast on the weekend was really good. It is really close to many shops, restaurants and the beaches around. The internet drops a bit, but it worked well most of the time.
During the weekdays they didn't lay the entire breakfast - I believe because there was less people - but they give you the menu to choose from. The problem is how they show the options: "butter", "jam", "cheese", which makes a bit weird to understand what's going to be served.

Verified reviewI really loved the swimming pool and the overall design of the hotel — it has a strong ocean vibe. There’s even a fun feature where you can look down into the restaurant through a window in the middle of the pool. We booked a room with a pool view and a private jacuzzi — it was amazing! Although there was a small issue with the jacuzzi at first, the staff were very friendly and fixed it quickly. The location of the hotel is also excellent, and the sushi at the restaurant downstairs was surprisingly good. I highly recommend trying it!
The breakfast there is quite simple — basically, you just tell the staff what you want and they’ll cook it for you. You can order as much as you like, but the options are a bit limited. I think it would be better if there were more variety, but overall the food was tasty.

Verified reviewWe liked the staff that was very friendly and the place was new or in very good condition. Also you could pay in several international currencies if you didn't have the local currency on you, both in cash and card. The breakfast was good, there was a nice terrace on the last floor, the pool looked amazing, but for us was not warm enough outside to try it. In the evening we also ate at the restaurant of the hotel which was really good.

Verified reviewBest hotel in Ksalim for sure! The room is spacious with a soft bed and nice balcony. Really clean! The breakfast was tasty aswell. The staff was so welcoming especially the owner who made us feel like home. Also check out the restaurant for some delicious sushi. Def will be back!
