They both have such amazing life experiences to share as well. We were able to leave our belongings here for a few nights while hiking and Julie did our washing for us for a very small fee. The only thing to note is the location is slightly away from the busy part of the town so you will be walking to bars/restaurants/cafes/museums.

The hosts are the loveliest people you'll meet! Julie is responsive, attentive, kind, respectful, and a fantastic cook. Her food is some of the best I ate in Albania. The value for money - breakfast being included - is just incredible. The room was large and comfortable, and the shared kitchen/living room were spacious and well stocked to be usable. Just to note, we were in the second building, not the one closest to Julie's kitchen, but I assume the primary building is of a similar standard. Finally, they offer competitive rates for day trips and bicycle hire if that's something you're interested in. We would 100% stay again, and this experience made our trip to Shkoder unforgettable.

Truly a home away from home! Julie and Luli were so welcoming, the bed was comfortable, free breakfast was fantastic and the whole house was very clean. I rented a bike from them, got my laundry done, and ate Julie's fried chicken rice bowls both nights. When I left very early in the morning for Theth, Julie made a packed breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay, appreciate all their hard work and have fond memories speaking to them both about life. I'll be back one day! Thank you!

From the moment I arrived, the hosts, Julie and Lulzym made me feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and genuine kindness.  The hosts were incredibly welcoming. I was offered ginger tea and homemade cake from Julie the moment I arrived.Julie her cooking was absolutely delicious and added such a warm, personal touch to the experience. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making it easy to connect with other travelers. They also offer helpful additional services like laundry and bike rental, which made my stay even more convenient. I loved it so much I decided to extend my stay here. If you're looking for a place with heart, hospitality, and great food I can't recommend Friendship Dorms hostel enough. I had such a lovely time and would absolutely come back! Highly recommend!

Shared bathroom with 3-4 other people so it can be hard sometimes to schedule your shower.

Private bedroom with shared bathroom. The room is simple but comfy. There’s a shared kitchen with utilities. Julie is the perfect host. She’s like the best mum away from home that you can imagine. Sweet and the best cook. She can take care of your stuff if you’re away for a few days and make sure your car is ok if you park in front of their propierty. Breakfast is included and is really delicious. If you leave early in the morning she prepares a take away sandwich.

This is the most friendly owners during all our 8 days trip in Albania! They care about you and their service the best! Felt like in family here! Julia is amazing she prepared breakfast for us to take away as we were jn need to leave early and it was so delicious! It was sone electricity problem which was totally not the host problem but they boiled some water for us to take a quick shower still - this is people who care about their guests!

Nicest hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and amazing. Dinner is delicious and can be both traditional and Asian influenced. You can rent bikes cheaply to explore the area. Great value for money, it's good everything you want and need when travelling as a backpacker. The breakfast is a nice vibe too, everyone eats together in the kitchen where Julie cooks it. Julie even woke up early to make us some sandwiches to take away as breakfast to make sure we still got some food when we had to check out early to go up to Theth. Such a sweetheart.

Upstairs private room (double room with shared bathroom). Lots of space between the two floors (access to second floor kitchen, living room and bathroom area is through outside stairs). Bright. Julie and Lulzym are friendly, helpful, excellent hosts. Breakfasts were excellent. Changes daily. Food from menu to purchase for other meals were excellent as well. Booked a tour of Shala River through them, which was amazing!

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The owners were very hospitable and amazing hosts — they made us feel at home and like part of their family. The place is small, with a warm, familiar atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. It’s well-equipped and has a safe space to store bicycles, which was ideal for us. Also, July is a host who’s truly passionate about cooking — she prepared us delicious meals that made the experience even more special. Thank you for everything! I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

The lady who takes care of the property is incredibly kind and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was very reasonably priced. She's an excellent cook—we ordered dinner from her small restaurant, and everything was delicious. She also prepared sandwiches and tea for our breakfast, which was a lovely touch. Overall, a truly pleasant and homey experience!

THE BEST HOSTEL IN SHKODER! Julia is the most amazing woman we have ever met. We stayed for 3 nights, and we were very sad to leave. She is kind, sweet and humble, and she treats you like you are family from the moment you arrive. It is a home-from-home vibe! The hostel is very new to opening, so Julia and her husband are spending every day working on it to make it more comfortable, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Julia makes the best food, cake and ginger tea! We LOVE YOU JULIA! Daniela and Michal!
