How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewthe mountain view was expressivly stunning. a picture to cover up. we had a cozy bed, a big living room and a kitchen every guest have to care for by itsself. the parking place is inside, safe with a fence.
the ac in the bathroom lose water and our floor was wet all the time.

Verified reviewThere are lots of good things to say about this apartment but there were a few things that I think are helpful to call out! The communication from the hosts were great, they were responsive and friendly! The apartment was very clean, and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and there was aircon in the bedroom and living room. There were kitchen facilities but we ate out every night so unsure if suitable for everything. (Food out was great and there were a couple of mini supermarkets close by) Location was great although apartment complex (not the apartment itself) seems a little tired - once inside it’s very modern. Whilst close proximity to the beach you do have to walk a pretty steep hill on the way back on the main road most of the way, so at night can be hard work - but it’s only around 10-15 mins away from beach, bars and restaurants. The beach is very beautiful! Overall would recommend especially for the cost as felt very reasonable.
Location great but as mentioned steep hill and slightly dated apartment block itself. There was a lift (we don’t need the lift but didn’t seem to work) The electrics went during our stay, think it was a building issue…but host was excellent and responsive. Then the electric went again but that was from the living room aircon unit going on. Again hosts were excellent and responsive but meant I had to communicate by using data (not the internet etc which cost me money)…it did mean we left the living room aircon unit off but for us important that the bedroom one worked! I’m very happy to pay ahead of arrival but this is done via either a revolut link or international Monday transfer and I would much prefer doing via booking.com or credit card. This isn’t really dislikes this is more around making people aware before they arrive! I would still recommend…!! Beautiful beaches, friendly hosts and clean spacious apartment.

Please note that local banking regulations mean Booking.com cannot process payments anywhere in Albania, so we rely on Revolut links or international bank transfers. Verified reviewNice to have the kitchen and air conditioning. Beach is about 15-20 walk away with a significant hill but not a problem if you are fit.
Significant construction noise at all times. The building exterior is not as pictured and is very worn. Balcony not really usable as it is blasted by sun early morning and afternoon it is a fishbowl as everyone looks upon it.

We’re sorry that some aspects didn’t meet your expectations. We manage only three privately owned apartments within a larger shared building and are not responsible for the exterior or any renovation works carried out by other owners. Around late May, some units undergo seasonal maintenance. We always ask the building manager to remind others to respect the national quiet hours (typically 2–5 PM and after 10 PM). Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent them from working during normal daytime hours, and we hope you understand this limitation. Regarding the balcony, we understand your point. Since most of our guests are on vacation and spend the day at the beach or exploring, we’ve never received similar feedback. But we do understand that staying inside for remote work can create a different experience. The morning sun can be strong, and we’ll consider solutions to improve shading. As for cleanliness, this is a family-run business—we handle everything ourselves and made sure to arrange cleanings at times most convenient for you. We truly value that level of attention, and for that reason, the 5/10 rating felt a bit unfair, especially considering our consistently high ratings in this category. Verified reviewgorgeous colours/lay out & spacious! Balcony ! Good location only 10 min from beach but steep hill walk. good AC. Comfy beds. Good appliances. Near shops. Lovely mountain/sea view.
We did love our stay although the power (lights & electricity) and water did keep turning off for a couple days :/ also boiler (so hot water for shower) was said to take 15-20 mins to warm up but actually took an hour or two so mainly cold showers.

The stove does not work well. The shower head holder and The roller shutter of the living room door were broken. There were no slippers at home. Price too high for these conditions.

They should chance mattress in the bedroom. Were not comfortable at all. And also sofa bed is hard making your sleep difficult
